Earlier in the week she met with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.But on Saturday Angelina Jolie was participating in a decidedly different endeavor, as she attended the Annie Awards, which recognize accomplishments in animation.The Maleficent star, 42, looked stunning in her shiny silver gown as she traipsed down the red carpet.The eye-catching frock featured a wrap-style sleeveless top, as well as a thigh-high split which gave a brief view of her toned legs.In a practical twist, the garment also included some no doubt appreciated pockets. Some very fashionable nude stiletto heels added several inches to her 5ft7in frame.Accessories were limited to several sizable rings and very modest glittering earrings.Her famous raven tresses were swept off her forehead and styled straight down her back.A smokey eye, subtle blush and a slick of brilliant crimson lipstick ensured the mother of six was glowing on the red carpet.She was soon joined by two of her children for some snaps, son Shiloh, 11, and daughter Zahara, 13.Shiloh kept things classic in black suit, while Zahara opted for a black blouse and trouser combination.Interestingly, the Oscar winner was on hand not because of a performance, but for a producing triumph.The animated film The Breadwinner, which details the struggle of a young girl in Taliban-era Afghanistan, managed to garner an impressive 10 Annie awards in several categories.The movie also caught the eye of the Academy, and is up for best Best Animated Feature Film in the upcoming 2018 edition of the awards show.In addition to the Nato Security General, Angelina also met with France's First Lady Brigitte Macron in Paris to discuss her visit and urge members of the UN Security Council to resolve the conflict in Syria.

Angelina Jolie reportedly won’t start dating again for “a very long time”.The 42-year-old actress has been single since splitting from her estranged husband Brad Pitt - with whom she has children Maddox, 16, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 11, and nine-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox - over a year ago in September 2016, and sources have now claimed the star isn’t on the lookout for a new man.An insider said: "Angelina isn’t dating anyone and won’t be for a very long time. She is focused on her children and their needs.” However, the sources also insist that Brad, 54, has been on a number of dates in the months since his split from the ‘Maleficent’ actress, but they claim none of them have been serious, as his children are more important than his love life.The insider added to ‘Entertainment Tonight’: "He's been on casual dates but none of them have evolved into anything serious. His dating life is certainly not his top priority. The kids are."It’s a really important time for him. The kids are his life. They mean everything to him.” It comes after Angelina previously claimed that she believed working with her former husband on 2015 movie ‘By The Sea’ - which she directed and the pair starred in - would help save their marriage.She said: "We had met working together and we worked together well … I wanted us to do some serious work together … I thought it would be a good way for us to communicate."In some ways it was, and in some ways we learned some things. But there was a heaviness probably during that situation that carried on and it wasn't because of the film."It was something that we were dealing ... things happen for different reasons, and things ... why did I write that exact piece? ANGELINA Jolie appears to have been caught on camera ignoring Jennifer Aniston at the Golden Globes.Fans are convinced the Oscar-winner was deliberately blanking her former love rival during her turn on stage at the ceremony on Sunday night - and Dakota Johnson saw the whole thing.The former Friends star took to the stage with veteran actress Carol Burnett to present a gong at the glitzy awards show.A screenshot taken during the presentation has been shared by fans online and seemingly shows Angelina sitting at a table, looking away from the stage while Jen spoke.Some fans pointed out that fellow guest Dakota appeared to have been caught looking at Angelina from the other side of the table while Jennifer was on stage.One Twitter user wrote: "You're lying if you can't relate to Dakota staring at Angelina's face for a reaction to Jennifer being on stage."Another tweeted: "Dakota Johnson got caught watching Angelina Jolie while Jennifer Aniston presented..."When you're trying to be subtle, but you can't help yourself."
