Rather, it’s guilty of picking up these contentions from a tabloid without bothering to fact-check them first. The claims were initially published by Life & Style, and HollywoodLife saw fit to regurgitate them with no regards to whether they’re even accurate. And, of course, they’re not.But the site quotes a purported source from the magazine as saying of Jolie, “She’s been in tears over losing him. She’s told friends, ‘I made the mistake of a lifetime.'” The problem, according to these two publications, is that “Brad feels too much damage has been done and she’s tormented him for too long to consider taking her back.” In actuality, the real problem is that this was all manufactured by one outlet and then spread online by another.What’s particularly mind-boggling is that both places are pretending these assertions aren’t inconsistent with allegations they’ve peddled in the past. For instance, while now running these contentions about one side wanting a reconciliation, Life & Style isn’t acknowledging that it previously claimed Jolie and Pitt were “secretly dating” in May. And HollywoodLife is conveniently forgetting that it fell for that false story and similarly wrongly claimed Jolie and Pitt were back together. If that were the case, why are the two insisting now that she wants to reconcile and he’s refusing? After all, months ago they were already supposedly reunited.That wasn’t true, of course, and it’s obvious that in addition to not caring about accuracy, these publications don’t care about consistency, either. It’s also obvious that if either had real insight on Jolie and Pitt, it wouldn’t have run wrong information in the first place. But the estranged spouses weren’t back together in May, and one half isn’t pushing for a reunion now. They remain separated, and while Jolie has admitted she doesn’t “enjoy being single,” that doesn’t mean the divorce isn’t going to move forward, Gossip Cop is told.

HollywoodLife claims to have “exclusively learned” that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s six kids hope their estranged parents will reunite over the holidays so they can all “spend Christmas together as a family.” Gossip Cop, however, has learned that no one close to the family spoke to the untrustworthy website about the Jolie-Pitt children’s Christmas wishes.A so-called “source” tells the outlet that the actress “really wants to take the kids away for Christmas,” particularly to Cambodia, but her estranged husband “wants to spend time with the children too, so he’s begged Angelina to stay in town.” The site’s alleged insider goes on to say the exes’ kids also asked their mom to stay in Los Angeles because “they hate to think of [their dad] being on his own.”The blog’s bogus source further purports that Jolie “will have the kids Christmas Eve and Christmas Day morning, then they will go to their dad’s for a few hours before heading back to Angelina’s for dinner.” The supposed insider adds, “The kids would really love to spend the day with both of their parents together, but that’s still really not an option. Brad and Angelina have come pretty far since their break-up, but they’re definitely not at the stage of being friends yet.”
Does HollywoodLies, as its known, really expect its readers to believe that someone close enough to either Pitt or Jolie would then leak the information to an untrustworthy blog? Gossip Cop has repeatedly been assured that no one in the actor or actress’s inner circles discuss their personal life with the website, and that’s especially true when it comes to their kids.It should also be noted, Gossip Cop busted HollywoodLife for concocting other bogus holiday-related stories about the family. We called out the outlet just last week for making up a phony article about Pitt and Jolie fighting over who spends Thanksgiving with the kids. Shortly before that, we debunked the webloid’s made-up report about Jolie inviting Pitt to go trick-or-treating on Halloween with her and the children. Based on its (predictable) history, Gossip Cop suspects HollywoodLies will next fabricate a story surrounding the family’s New Year’s plans.

A new report claiming Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will attempt to “rekindle their romance” during a “secret reunion” in London next year is completely made-up. Gossip Cop looked into the supposed plans for a reconciliation and we can exclusively set the record straight.“Brangelina Back Together: Inside Pitt & Jolie Secret Reunion With The Whole Family!” reads a new RadarOnline headline. The accompanying article says the estranged spouses are both expected to shoot movies in London early next year, so now “they’re planning a top-secret meeting.” Pitt is attached to star in World War Z 2, while Jolie is currently prepping for Maleficent 2, prompting a supposed “insider” to tell the site, “Brad and Angie are both well aware that they are headed on a collision course for filming blockbuster sequels.” The outlet’s questionable source continues, “The upside of all of this is that the family is going to have one big chance to be together for an extended period of time… This is going to be a whole new world, and an easier one too because they will be able to co-parent while still making these huge blockbuster movies on alternating schedules.” The seemingly nonexistent insider goes on to say the exes will also spend their downtime trying to repair their marriage, adding, “If this doesn’t get them back together for real, I don’t think anything will.” The first problem with the webloid’s bogus article is that World War Z 2 is still in the early stages of development and nowhere near ready to go into production. In fact, director David Fincher revealed in an interview earlier this month that there’s no script ready yet. It’s unlikely the crew is scouting locations in London when there isn’t even a completed screenplay. As for Jolie’s Maleficent sequel, Gossip Cop has learned the Disney movie is also still being written. Although it’s possible that both sequels will get underway sometime next year, neither project is scheduled to shoot in London at of yet. Regardless, Gossip Cop still checked in with a source close to the situation, who exclusively assures us the site’s story is simply “not true.” RadarOnline is the same untrustworthy outlet that Gossip Cop recently busted for falsely claiming Pitt believed Jolie was casting “voodoo spells” on him. Jolie wore a ring that Pitt gave her, and on the off-chance he saw paparazzi pictures of her sporting that small bauble, magically he would reverse course and take Jolie back. As improbable as the claims is, we checked with a source close to the actress who tells us the outlet’s latest report is simply “nonsense.” Jolie, who attended the premiere of her new Netflix film First They Killed My Father at the 2017 Telluride Film Festival earlier this month, did not purposely wear a ring given to her by Pitt, hoping he would see the photos and be so incredibly moved to take her back. It’s all lies.As we noted above, this is hardly the first time Gossip Cop has busted the publication for seemingly fabricating bogus reports about Jolie. Interestingly, though the tabloid alleges the actress wants to reunite with Pitt, a few months ago it published a wholly fictitious article that maintained Jolie was dating a mystery man. That report had the headline of “In Love Angelina Replaces Brad!” And nine months ago, Gossip Cop corrected the same untrustworthy publication when it ran a cover story that swore up and down that Jolie was on a hunger strike and dying. Like those older debunked claims, the current one also doesn’t ring true.
