Angelina Jolie debuts a large new tattoo on her right arm as she gets to work on her new movie in Australia. She's probably one of the most tattooed actresses in Hollywood, with an estimated 17 different designs. And now Angelina Jolie has added yet another inking to her already-vast collection, debuting the new etching as she began work on her new movie in Sydney, Australia, on Monday. The lengthy piece of writing on her right arm appears to be in Arabic, and sits directly below another Arabic script tattoo Angelina has which means Determination.Angelina displayed the new tattoo as she strolled along the dock to catch a water taxi to head to work in Sydney.Looking casual but chic, Angelina wore a black T-shirt, trousers and flip flops, carrying a hat to ensure her porcelain complexion didn't get burned by the strong Australian sun.She finished off her look with mirrored aviator sunglasses and left her brunette hair loose, smiling as she strolled along in the sunshine. It is thought Angelina, who is known for getting inkings to mark important developments in her life, may have had the tattoo done following her double mastectomy operation earlier this year. Some of her other meaningful etchings include a quote from Tennessee Williams in memory of her late mother Marcheline Bertrand, and the geographical coordinates of where each of her six children were born.Angelina is currently in Australia with her brood to film her new movie Unbroken, while fiancé Brad Pitt stays in the UK shooting his latest project. While it was originally reported that she would film Unbroken in Hawaii, it seems her plans changed following a whirlwind 24-hour visit with son Pax back in July.It is the second feature film Angelina will direct, following 2011's In The Land Of Blood And Honey, which was nominated for a Golden Globe.
Unbroken tells the inspirational true story of Louis Zamperini, an Olympic runner and air force second lieutenant who survived for 47 days adrift in the Pacific Ocean without food or water when his plane crashed during World War II in 1943. After enduring endless shark attacks and aerial strikes, he was eventually captured by the Japanese and tortured in a prisoner-of-war camp until the end of the war in 1945.Meanwhile, it was revealed last week that Angelina is set to be honoured with her second Oscar - this time for her humanitarian work. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will present the star with the honorary Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award at the 5th Annual Governors Awards on November 16. 'The Governors Awards pay tribute to individuals who've made indelible contributions in their respective fields. We couldn't be more excited for this year's honorees,' reads a statement by Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs, which was released on Thursday. It will be the second Oscar for Jolie - she received a gong for Girl, Interrupted in 1999 - who the Academy praised for being an 'impassioned advocate for humanitarian causes, traveling widely to promote organisations and social justice efforts such as the Prevent sexual Violence Initiative.'

COULD Hollywood superstar Angelina Jolie be looking to buy property in the Brisbane bayside suburb of Manly? The 38-year-old actor, wife of fellow silver screen heart throb Brad Pitt, was spotted lunching with friends at the harbour side restaurant Wilson’s Boathouse on Thursday as part of a super secretive visit to Australia.Jolie, dressed casually in black pants and a black top, specifically asked for Australian seafood and dined out on Moreton Bay bugs, Hervey Bay scallops and Fraser Island prawns with a homemade marinara sauce.Fellow diners almost choked on their oysters when she walked into the Trafalgar St restaurant at about 1.15pm.Jolie’s whirlwind visit to Brisbane came after she was spotted in Sydney on Wednesday in a lightning fast 24-hour visit with her son Pax, 9.Speculation has swirled this year that she and Brad were looking to buy property in Australia. The rumours originated after Pitt was linked to David Fincher’s production of 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea which was set to be filmed in Australia before the project stalled in May.Pitt has since stated he will not be part of that project, but told Sydney media on the red carpet for his current blockbuster World War Z that working in Australia was “inevitable”.“We are migratory workers, we go where it takes it and (working in Australia) is just not out of the question,” he said.Photo verification of Ms Jolie’s visit to Manly has been sighted by the Wynnum Herald but was not made available to publish.

Hollywood superstar Angelina Jolie has made a surprise 24 hour visit to Sydney, leaving on a private jet Thursday morning.Photographs of Angelina in trademark black boots, black leggings and black aviator style sunglasses with her hair pulled back and carrying a giant beige Birkin bag boarding a private jet early Thursday morning at Sydney airport are set to appear in a woman's magazine next week. The reason for the mystery visit is unclear and follows on from a whirlwind visit made by Brad Pitt last month to promote his film World War Z at The Star.It is believed Jolie flew into Sydney on Wednesday with her adopted son Pax on a commercial flight from Tokyo.Pax was reported to have been recognised carrying his now infamous giant purple teddy bear, regularly seen in his arms as they are photographed traipsing through airports around the world.Jolie and Pitt, who have six children including Pax, 9, Maddox, 11, Sahara, 7, Shiloh, 6, and four year old twins Vivienne and Knox were reported to be looking for a property in Sydney earlier this year with rumours Pitt would star in the David Fincher film, 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea, although Pitt denied these rumours in June. The Australian government announced in April it will give the film studio a one-off incentive of A$21.6 million to shoot the film remake of the classic novel with then Prime Minister Julia Gillard saying the deal was expected to create up to 2,000 jobs in the country. The shoot was planned for 2014 however reports have since surfaced the Australian based shoot may be scrapped. The couple were reported to be checking out rental properties in Palm Beach at the time.Rumours also circulated they were considering a base on Stradbroke Island.Jolie has also been scouting locations for her upcoming project, Unbroken, in Hawaii this month. The film which will be based on the WW2 novel by Laura Lillenbrand is the heroic tale of Olympican-turned prisoner of war Louis Zamperini and will be Angelina's second directorial effort since she filmed In the Land of Blood and Honey in 2011.Jolie, who had a double mastectomy earlier this year to reduce the risk of breast cancer, was announced this week as the highest paid actress on Forbes magazines 2013 list of Hollywood's highest earning actresses despite failing to star in a film since 2010's The Tourist.Jolie is estimated to have pocketed $US33 million in the last financial year.
