SHE HAS appeared in a spate of hit movies and is set to grace our screens in the feverishly anticipated Maleficent but Oscar winner Angelina Jolie will eventually quit acting to become a film director.The 38-year-old actress seems to have fallen out of love with being a film star since directing the movie Unbroken and getting a taste of life behind the camera.“I prefer directing,” she says. “I love having the spotlight on somebody else. I have enjoyed being an actress and I am so grateful for the job. I have had great experiences and have even been able to tell great stories and been a part of stories that mattered. I have also done things just for fun.” The star, who has six children with fiancé Brad Pitt, also reveals that being a stay-at-home mum is something that she’d be more than happy with.“Acting’s a very lucky profession to be a part of and I enjoy it but if it went away tomorrow I would be very happy just to be at home with my children,” she added.Just last month Angelina admitted that when she was younger she always saw herself as an actress and was never particularly maternal.“I never imagined being a mother,” she revealed. “Then those maternal feelings evolved and deepened once I began adopting and started living with Brad, which made me want to have children of our own.“Brad is so good about taking over when I’m working but I would rather be home for dinner and read my children bedtime stories.”

Angelina Jolie hops into her awaiting car as she headed to the airport en route to Sarajevo on Thursday (March 27) in London, England.The 38-year-old actress and director reportedly had a busy several hours in London – she met with British Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs William Hague several times for meetings and meals. William and Angelina have traveled together before to bring awareness and end suffering abroad.Earlier in the week, Angelina previewed her film Unbroken at 2014 CinemaCon.“Lou Zamperini is the toughest man I have ever met,” Angelina told the crowd. “He’s a fighter and true hero. Angelina Jolie is getting herself into the fashion world with a new capsule collection of children’s clothes inspired by her new movie MaleficentThe 38-year-old actress and Disney are working with fashion designer Stella McCartney to create Maleficent by Stella McCartney Kids and it all sounds so cool!“I’ve always been a huge fan of Disney growing up, as was my mother, and I grew up watching all the films like most kids did,” Stella told WWD. “When the opportunity presented itself and I was invited by Angelina Jolie to visit the film set, I jumped at the chance.”There will be eight styles in the collection including princess dresses and sandals, as well as clothes for both boys and girls like edgy t-shirts and sneakers. Before Sam Taylor-Wood was signed on to direct "Fifty Shades of Grey", there was a rumor that Angelina Jolie was mentioned as a possible helmer. Now, the "Maleficent" star addresses it during an interview with Entertainment Weekly. According to the interviewer, she let out a long laugh while shaking her head and blushing when asked about the matter. After a long contemplative pause, she then said, "I came very clear out of the gate: after 'Blood and Honey', if I ever directed again, it would have to be a certain kind of film." "You know, I'm looking forward to seeing what Sam does with '50 Shades' and she's amazing. I - I think they're just ... it's funny," she seemed struggling to find the right word. "I think with directing, you just think: I'm better at telling some stories than others but um, who knows?" After her critically-acclaimed directorial debut "In the Land of Blood and Honey", the mother of six is helming another true-story drama "Unbroken" which is based on the story of World War hero Louis Zamperini. "The films that I've directed are both real stories," she said. "Even though the first one I wrote, it was based in history and you have such a responsibility - you have to be very careful of how you balance it. One day it might be fun to direct something where I don't have to be so careful. I can be completely, completely um ... bold and wild and irreverent and dark." Her next movie, "Maleficent", which tells the untold story of the villain in Sleeping Beauty tale, is scheduled to hit theaters Stateside on May 30.
