Angelina Jolie has not asked out Keanu Reeves on a date, despite a made-up tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the story. The actor’s own spokesperson tells us it’s untrue.According to Star, however, Jolie decided she’s ready to find love again after turning 44 earlier this month and has set her sights on the John Wick star. “Her birthday felt like a turning point and the right time to begin a relationship,” an alleged source tells the outlet. “She hasn’t been this excited about a man since she first met Brad [Pitt].”The magazine says Jolie first met Reeves in 2017 when she bought a house in the same neighborhood of Los Angeles where the actor’s mom Patricia lives. “They found they have a lot in common, and the attraction was definitely there,” adds the supposed insider. “Patricia would love to see Keanu finally settle down after all these years, and Angelina’s someone who’d fit right in with the family.”The questionable tipster continues, “Keanu gives her butterflies! After all, he’s just her type – edgy and a bit of a rogue. Plus, she thinks he’s gorgeous.” The unnamed source further contends that Jolie “was too nervous” to ask Reeves’ mom to set up a date, so she instead had a “mutual pal” reach out to the actor. “She wants an intimate dinner at her house, and has arranged a chef to prepare it ahead of time so she and Keanu can be totally alone,” adds the seemingly phony insider.
Gossip Cop, however, reached out to Reeves’ rep, who tells us Star was already sent a denial prior to publishing its report. The actor’s spokesperson, who was alerted of the article ahead of time, tells us, “This is the statement I sent to them: Your story is completely false and has no basis in any truth. This event never occurred. Once again you are manufacturing and inventing lies in order to increase your sales for purely financial gain.” The unreliable magazine didn’t bother to include the statement from Reeves’ spokesperson, but had no problem presenting claims from an anonymous “source.”It should also be noted, Jolie’s rep has told Gossip Cop several times that the actress is focused on work and her children at this time. The actress, who’s spending the summer with her kids in New Mexico while shooting a movie, isn’t interested in dating.Unfortunately, Star has a habit of arbitrarily linking the actress to famous men. Back in February, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for falsely claiming Jolie was dating Sean Penn. She wasn’t. Last December, we called out the publication for wrongly reporting that Jolie was secretly dating Jared Leto. That wasn’t the case either.Additionally, this isn’t the first time a tabloid has made up a story about Jolie dating Reeves. Last October, Gossip Cop debunked an NW article claiming the two stars had been in a secret romance since July 2017 following a “top-secret trip to a secluded Greek island.” This latest article dials back the scenario a bit, but it’s no more accurate.

Angelina Jolie is crushing on Richard Madden, who’s in talks to co-star with the actress in the upcoming Marvel movie The Eternals, claims a new tabloid report. Gossip Cop can debunk the phony story. We’re assured it’s completely made-up.Earlier this month, it was announced the “Game of Thrones” and “Bodyguard” star is in negotiations to join Jolie in the comic book movie, which centers on a race of immortal beings with superpowers. According to OK! Australia, Madden nabbed a role in the film thanks to “the great chemistry he has with Angelina.”A supposed source is then quoted as telling the magazine, “It’s early days, but Richard is definitely someone Angelina has her eye on. She thinks he’s incredibly handsome and talented, and she’s excited to see where their friendship goes next.” The alleged insider goes on to say Jolie “has a habit for falling for her co-stars,” so she’s excited about the prospect of getting close to Madden on set.The unreliable outlet is simply attempting to create a love connection between the pair because they’ll be possibly working together. As Gossip Cop has stressed, Jolie has been entirely focused on work and her kids amid her divorce from Brad Pitt. People magazine, a much more reliable source for celebrity news than OK!, reported just last month that both Jolie and Pitt “are focused on what’s best for the kids” and aren’t concerned with dating at this time.Still, Gossip Cop checked in with an individual in Jolie’s camp, who tells us the tabloid’s report is nothing more than a work of fiction. The actress isn’t crushing on Madden, nor does she plan on pursuing a romance with her potential co-star. The idea that she’s excited about working on The Eternals because she plans to woo Madden is baseless.Last month, the American edition of OK! published a bogus cover story about Jolie dating Colin Farrell. The actress obviously isn’t in a romance with that actor either. This also wouldn’t be the first time we’ve had to debunk an article about the Maleficent star planning to pursue one of her future co-stars.Earlier this month, we called out OK!’s sister outlet, the Globe, for making up a story about Jolie planning to steal Nicholas Hoult from his model girlfriend Bryana Holly. That story was only concocted because the actress is co-starring with Hoult in the upcoming wilderness thriller Those Who Wish Me Dead. Jolie has no intention of dating every man who she spends time with on a movie set, despite the gossip media trying to spread this fake narrative.

Angelina Jolie moving to New York with her six kids to get away from Brad Pitt? That’s the claim in one of this week’s celebrity magazines. Gossip Cop, however, can prove the story is 100 percent not true.According to the latest issue of the National Enquirer, “Jolie is secretly plotting to uproot her brood and move from California to New York, thousands of miles away from [her] estranged hubby.” To make it appear as if its report is legitimate, the supermarket tabloid quotes a so-called “source” as saying, “Angie wants to make a clean start in the Big Apple.” “She doesn’t really care if this makes it more difficult for Brad to see their children,” adds the ill-informed or possibly manufactured “insider.” Of course, the premise makes no sense. Just this past June, the judge presiding over their divorce warned Jolie that Pitt must be allowed to see the kids more or she’d lose custody. If she were “secretly plotting” to take the kids away, and make it “more difficult for Brad to see their children,” it’s safe to say she would immediately lose custody and the supposed plan to start a new life in New York would completely backfire.To fill out the rest of its article, and make it seem plausible that Jolie might unilaterally decide to relocate to New York, the magazine points out how two weeks ago she took her children to various events in Manhattan. It’s mentioned how all the kids went to a screening of the Netflix film, The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind, while just a handful of them accompanied her to the premiere of the documentary Serendity. The outlet also relates how the actress went on a college tour of NYU with her oldest son, Maddox, and took a few others shopping in the university’s neighborhood.But just because she visited New York with her family doesn’t mean she’s moving there. Last month, as a special Special Envoy for the UN Refugee Agency, Jolie visited Rohingya refugees who fled from Myanmar to Bangladesh, and she’s not moving there. In fact, last June Jolie bought late director Cecil B. DeMille’s house for $24.5 million, planting her and her kids firmly in Los Angeles.Then, towards the end of highly inaccurate article, the tabloid’s same unnamed “source” further contends, “Angie wants to leave Hollywood behind, and Brad along with it.” “Most people in the industry have sided with Brad, making it harder for her to find work,” asserts the tipster without any proof whatsoever. As a result, maintains the supposed “insider,” Jolie has decided to “pursue new opportunities in New York theater.” The anonymous “source concludes the actress also “loves the idea of being close to Maddox at college, and getting back at Brad is icing on the cake.”
The truth, of which there is little in the magazine’s story, is that Jolie is not leaving Hollywood, nor is she having a hard time finding work. She can next be seen in Maleficent 2. Jolie wrapped production a few months ago on Come Away, and she’s next slated to film Those Who Wish Me Dead. And it’s also illogical that a woman devoted to her kids would want to drop everything for a career in theater, which typically means performing six nights a week away from the children, as well as additional afternoon matinees on Wednesdays and weekends.Lastly, it hasn’t even been established that Jolie’s oldest child will attend NYU. But even if he does, the idea of her moving “close to Maddox” is also not in the best interest of her five other children. As noted above, the actress bought a home in Los Angeles, and would not turn her kids’ lives upside by taking them away from their friends and activities in California.Practically, everything claimed by the publication is provably wrong. Still, Gossip Cop checked in with a source in Jolie’s camp, and we’re assured it’s all wrong. Jolie is not planning on moving to New York to get away from Pitt, nor would she ever jeopardize the custody of her children by doing that.The Enquirer has a questionable track record when it comes to reporting about Jolie. Among the many falsehoods published by that supermarket tabloid was a piece two years ago about how Jolie was moving with her kids out of the United States. Employing similar language, the magazine and its phony “source” said then that Jolie was “hitting” Pitt “where it hurts” by “uprooting their kids to London.” Obviously, that was a lie.Then last year, Gossip Cop busted the often discredited outlet when it similarly insisted Jolie was moving to France with her six kids amid the custody battle with Pitt. In that wholly fictitious article, the magazine’s seemingly fabricated source alleged Jolie was fleeing America because she “wants to make it as hard as possible for Brad to see their children.” Sound familiar? It’s practically the same quote used in the newly concocted story about the actress moving to New York to get away from Pitt.To recap: The outlet has nothing to prove Jolie is moving to New York. Conversely, there’s overwhelming evidence why it’s untrue and would essentially torpedo her chances of having reasonable custody of her and Pitt’s children. It’s also clear she’s not leaving film acting anytime soon, as floated by the publication. Equally significant, the tabloid has tried this bogus narrative twice before, and time has shown those tales to be false. For those reasons and others, Gossip Cop is giving the story a zero on our fact-or-fiction meter.
