Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's son Maddox Jolie has dropped his father's last name, eight months after his sister Shiloh made the same move. The revelation was made by People on Thursday after Maddox was listed in the end credits of his mother's new movie, Couture, as Maddox Jolie, rather than Maddox Jolie-Pitt.The 24-year-old served as an assistant director on the drama, which debuted in French movie theaters earlier this week. According to publication, 'production notes for the film provided to journalists showed Maddox’s name was also listed as Maddox Jolie' when the film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2025. The Daily Mail has reached out to Pitt and Jolie's respective representatives for comment, but has not heard back, at this time. Previously, on Jolie's biopic, Maria, about legendary opera singer Maria Callas, Maddox, who worked as a production assistant, was credited as Maddox Jolie-Pitt.In addition to Maddox, Jolie and Pitt also share Pax, 22, Zahara, 21, Shiloh, 19, and 17-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. Last year, Shiloh, who was born Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, legally changed her name to Shiloh Jolie shortly after turning 18.At the time, in a statement shared with People, Shiloh's lawyer Peter Levine said she 'made an independent and significant decision following painful events,' adding that she was 'merely following legal process' when publishing notice of the change. 'Shiloh Jolie did not take out an "ad" announcing any name change, and any press reporting that is inaccurate,' Levine clarified, per People. 'As Shiloh's attorney, I am required to publish a legal notice because the law in California requires that of anyone who wants to change their name. That legal notice was published in the Los Angeles Times, as is required.'One month after Shiloh filed to drop her father's last name, a source told People that Pitt's relationship with his older children remained strained.'He has virtually no contact with the adult kids. His engagement with the younger kids is more limited in recent months because of his filming schedule,' the insider shared.

Time heals wounds.'A source close to Jolie hit back at her ex husband, saying: 'Brad continues to play the victim. His fractured relationship with his children is a direct result of how he has treated them.'He should stop blaming others. The Duchess of Sussex appeared to draw inspiration from renowned humanitarian Angelina Jolie on her quasi-royal tour of Jordan.Meghan, 44, and Prince Harry travelled to the Middle East at the invitation of the World Health Organisation for two days of engagements this week focused on mental health and support for vulnerable communities impacted by conflict and displacement. And during which time, the mother-of-two appeared to look to one of Hollywood's most respected do-gooders, not merely given the nature of the trip, but also by ditching her usual glitz and glamour for a low-key wardrobe.For Thursday morning's visit to the National Centre for Rehabilitation of Addicts, Meghan wore a £109 grey wool-blend topstitched jacket from Zara, the Spanish brand also favoured by her sister-in-law, the Princess of Wales. It marked the second time she championed the high-street brand on the trip - wearing a khaki Zara T-shirt for a game of football the day prior. She paired the coat with black suit trousers and black heels, and in keeping with the pared-back look, she left her usual stack of bangles and glittering diamonds at home. The only visible jewellery was her gold wedding band and Cartier Love bracelet.In addition to adopting a more casual style, the white shirt and T-shirt Meghan wore at the Za'atari refugee camp echoed those of Angelina's outfit when she visited the Domiz refugee camp in Iraq's Kurdistan.It wasn't just Angelina's understated clothing that Meghan understandably appeared to mirror, but also, naturally when on this sort of trip, her empathetic gestures.

The Duke and Duchess watched a music class at the QuestScope youth centre at Za'atari refugee camp near Mafraq, and took part in a football session.They also attended a roundtable discussion in Amman with people from the United Nations and many of its agencies, diplomatic representatives and donors.The couple, who stepped down as working royals in 2020 for personal and financial freedom, travelled to Jordan at the invitation of the World Health Organisation (WHO).WHO director-general Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus warmly welcomed the couple on the steps of the organisation's office in Amman. He kissed and hugged Meghan, who wore a white jacket and matching trousers, and also embraced Harry.
Yesterday, Harry and Meghan wrote messages of support to recovering addicts at a rehabilitation centre during the second day of their quasi-royal tour of Jordan.The Duke and Duchess of Sussex joined a WHO team as they spoke to patients at Amman's National Centre for Rehabilitation of Addicts. Promoting mental health support is one of the themes of their visit, and the couple both wrote notes on a wall in an attempt to encourage those receiving treatment. Meghan's note written on orange paper said: 'Congratulations on your dedication to your care. Wishing you continued healing and happiness.' And Harry wrote on a yellow note: 'It's OK to not be OK. Trust each other. Congratulations on your recovery. Now share your courage and experience.' The centre, operating under Jordan's ministry of health's national centre for mental health, has a 40-bed capacity and was inaugurated in 2001.It has served as a short-term residential and outpatient treatment centre, offering medical withdrawal services, psychological support and social counselling.Earlier that day, the couple visited a worldwide organisation feeding people in moments of crisis.The Sussexes travelled to the World Central Kitchen's regional headquarters where it coordinates and deploys a million hot meals across Gaza daily. The organisation was founded by celebrity chef Jose Andres, a staunch supporter of the couple who appeared on the second season of Meghan's Netflix cookery show.World Central Kitchen, established in 2010, uses a network of field and community kitchens, bakeries and partners to enable almost half of Gaza's population to be fed.Harry and Meghan chatted via video call with a distribution leader at one of the organisation's six field kitchens in Gaza.Wadhah Hubaishi, the organisation's response director for the Middle East and North Africa, told the couple that ochre and rice was the meal for today.He said: 'This is one of our most delicious meals for the Gaza people. Within two hours, we will start distributing the food.''We need 20 trucks (of supplies) every day from Egypt. Not enough trucks are coming in, that really affects us more than any other actor.'

Angelina Jolie made rare comments about the preventative double mastectomy she underwent back in 2013.The Oscar-winner, 50, touched on the topic of her mastectomy scars, which she recently showed for the first time in December, in a new interview with France Inter.Jolie, who plays a woman diagnosed with breast cancer in her latest film Couture, said that her scars 'are a choice' that she is 'grateful' she was able to make.'I've always been someone more interested in the scars and the life that people carry,' she said. 'I'm not drawn to a perfect idea of a life that has no scars.''My scars are a choice I made to stay here as long as I could with my children. I love my scars because of that.'And I'm grateful that I had the opportunity and the choice to do something proactive about my health.'She noted that being able to choose to undergo the surgery was meaningful, especially because she lost her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, to cancer and is now 'raising [her] children without a grandmother.' Bertrand was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 1999 and later developed breast cancer. She died in January 2007 at the age of 56. Jolie's grandmother and aunt also passed away from cancer. 'So for me, I think this is life, and if you get to the end of your life and you haven't made mistakes and you haven't made a mess, you don't have scars, you haven't lived a full enough life,' Jolie said. Jolie shares three biological children with ex-husband Brad Pitt, 61: Shiloh, 19, and 17-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. They also share three adopted children: Maddox, 24, Pax, 22, and Zahara, 21. In December 2025, she publicly showed her double mastectomy scars for the first time when she posed for Time France. 'I share these scars with many women I love,' she stated. 'And I'm always moved when I see other women share theirs.''I wanted to join them, knowing that TIME France would be sharing information about breast health, prevention, and knowledge about breast cancer.'
In May 2013, Jolie had both breasts surgically removed, and then underwent a reconstructive surgyre, after discovering she carries a genetic mutation that dramatically increases the chance of being diagnosed with potentially fatal breast cancer.The mutation in her BRCA1 gene, left the mother-of-six with an estimated 87 per cent risk of breast cancer and 50 per cent risk of ovarian cancer.In March 2015, she also had her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed as a preventive measure against developing ovarian cancer.In her Time France interview, Jolie called for making BRCA screenings available to every woman.'Every woman should always be able to determine her own healthcare journey and have the information she needs to make informed choices: genetic testing and screening should be accessible and affordable for women with clear risk factors or a significant family history.''When I shared my experience in 2013, it was to encourage informed choices,' she added. 'Healthcare decisions must be personal, and women must have the information and support they need to make those choices. Access to screening and care should not depend on financial resources or where someone lives.'In 2015, Jolie shared about her decision to remove her ovaries due to a second health scare.The Maleficent star published a lengthy opinion piece, titled Angelina Jolie Pitt: Diary Of A Surgery in the New York Times explaining her decision.
According to Jolie, she had been planning to undergo surgery to remove her ovaries and Fallopian tubes for a while at the time, but a call from her doctor made the procedure more urgent.A blood test detected potential anomalies linked to the protein CA-125, which is used to monitor ovarian cancer, Jolie's doctor told her, urging the actress to see her surgeon, who also had treated her late mother.'I went through what I imagine thousands of other women have felt,' she wrote.'I told myself to stay calm, to be strong, and that I had no reason to think I wouldn't live to see my children grow up and to meet my grandchildren.'She noted that she chose to keep her uterus because there is no history of uterine cancer in her family.Jolie has previously spoken of the void in her life that her mother's death had left - a pain that led her to taking the brave decision to have a double mastectomy, so her children may not have to experience the pain she did.The actress's aunt, Debbie Martin, then died of breast cancer at the age of 61 less than two weeks after Jolie revealed she had undergone her mastectomy.To counteract the loss of her ovaries, Jolie turned to hormone replacement therapy and had a device inserted in her womb.'Regardless of the hormone replacements I'm taking, I am now in menopause,' she wrote. 'I will not be able to have any more children, and I expect some physical changes. But I feel at ease with whatever will come, not because I am strong but because this is a part of life. It is nothing to be feared.''I know my children will never have to say, 'Mom died of ovarian cancer,'' she added.
