Angelina Jolie, 48, wows in light brown suit as she heads to the theater with daughter Vivienne, 15

Angelina Jolie looked sleek as she stepped out in New York Saturday. The 48-year-old Oscar winner, who has been spending time in the Big Apple with her kids, highlighted her warm skin tones in a light brown suit and beige top. The Eternals star stepped out in neutral toned pumps. She wore natural looking makeup with a soft peach lip and styled her shoulder length hair straight with the part slightly off center. The Maleficent star was accompanied by her daughter Vivienne, 15, who looked comfortable in a pair of beige pants and a plumb toned T-shirt and sneakers. The teen pulled her light brown hair into a ponytail and appeared to be makeup free. The pair were spotted arriving for a meeting for their new Broadway show. Vivienne has developed an interest in theater and has been working as an assistant to her mother as the pair work to bring a show to the Great White Way. Angelina shares Vivienne with ex-husband Brad Pitt along with: Knox, 15, Shiloh, 17, Zahara, 18, Pax, 19, and Maddox, 22. The mother-daughter team are combing their efforts to produce the stage version of SE Hinton's 1967 classic The Outsiders. The author, born Susan Eloise Hinton, wrote the bulk of the popular novel when she was only a teenager in high school in Oklahoma, so it seems serendipitous that Vivienne is interested in helping give it new life. Angelina and Vivienne have met with the author as they forge ahead on their endeavor. Director Danya Taymor, 34, is the niece of Tony winner and Oscar nominee Julie Taymor, known for bringing The Lion King musical to the stage. Frances Ford Coppola turned the book into a film. The 1983 movie helped launch the careers of Tom Cruise, Matt Dillon, Ralph Macchio, Rob Lowe, and Diane Lane. The musical made its world premiere at the La Jolla Playhouse in San Diego in February. The theater is known for launching successful shows such as Tony award winning Come From Away. In a statement to People, the proud mom wrote, 'Viv reminds me of my mother in that she isn’t focused on being the center of attention but in being a support to other creatives.' 'She’s very thoughtful and serious about theatre and working hard to best understand how to contribute.' Mother and daughter shared a smile as they left the meeting a few hours later. Vivienne stayed close to her mother as they made their way the a car waiting to take them back to their hotel.
