Angelina Jolie was looking her best when she was spotted out in New York City on Thursday.The 49-year-old actress, filmmaker and activist was covered up in an elegant black cashmere overcoat while heading out to take care of business around town.The outing came just days after Angelina threw her support behind her 20-year-old daughter Zahara by attending her keynote speech at Women in Training Inc.'s brunch in Montgomery, Alabama, on Saturday.Back in New York, the A-list star complemented her coat with a matching black dress.It featured a high neckline of delicate lace, along with a long, lacy skirt that terminated just above her ankles.Angelina stayed on the monochrome color scheme with a set of classic black pumps, and she added a touch of retro cool with large gold-frame aviator sunglasses with only a modest tint. She added a touch of luxury to her look with a large black Dior handbag dangling from her forearm.She added some extra sparkle with tasteful studded earrings, and she let her highlighted brunette locks cascade fall down her shoulders and flutter in the breeze.Angelina was back in the Northeast after taking a trip down to Alabama over the weekend to join her daughter Zahara.The college student appeared to have been inspired by her mother's work as a Special Envoy for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, as the subject of her keynote speech was 'period poverty.'The term refers to situations in which women and girls have 'insufficient access to menstrual products, education, and sanitation facilities' according to the National Institutes of Health. Zahara has been a student at Spelman College, a historically Black women's liberal arts college, since the fall of 2022, and she joined the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority the following year.In addition to Zahara, whom she adopted from Ethiopia in 2005, Jolie shares five other children with her ex-husband Brad Pitt.
She first adopted her son Maddox, 23, in 2002, and Pitt later adopted both children. In 2006, she gave birth to her daughter Shiloh, 18, and she and Pitt jointly adopted their son Pax, 21, the following year. They welcomed their final two children, the fraternal twins Knox and Vivienne, 16, in 2008. Angelina's day in the Big Apple comes after she and Pitt finally ended their bitter, eight-year divorce battle, officially closing the chapter on one of Hollywood’s most high-profile breakups.'It’s hard for her to trust men after what she went through with Brad,’ a source told Us Weekly earlier this month. 'She hasn’t sworn off men, but she’s not looking for anything serious right now.'The insider added that the Malificent star 'doesn’t think she’ll ever get over the trauma’ of her relationship with Pitt, reinforcing that 'she’s not looking for love right now.'Despite officially settling their divorce, it seems Jolie is prioritizing herself and her family over any new romantic prospects.The source added that Jolie feels 'fulfilled' and is 'content with her children and life.'Last month, a different source close to Jolie described the divorce process as a nightmare for her and her family. 'These last eight years have been such a horrendous time for her and her family,' a different source told People.A source close to Pitt, however, pushed back on Jolie’s claims, telling People, 'Jolie has engaged in one-sided attacks for the past eight years, including a never-ending distortion of facts and projecting their own behavior onto others, causing tremendous collateral damage to those in and around the family.'In December, Pitt and Jolie officially settled their divorce, bringing an end to a contentious legal fight that lasted over eight years. However, one major sticking point remains unresolved — their $62 million dispute over the French château and vineyard they once co-owned.
Jolie’s attorney, James Simon, told DailyMail.com that the actress is relieved to have closed this chapter. 'Frankly, Angelina is exhausted,' Simon said.'More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt. She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time, she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family,' he added.Following the split, Zahara, Shiloh, and Vivienne have reportedly dropped Pitt from their last name. While it’s believed that Knox and Vivienne still maintain some contact with their father, Maddox and Pax are said to be estranged.Although their divorce has been finalized, the legal battle over Château Miraval, a celebrated French wine estate, remains contentious. Pitt has accused Jolie of selling her stake in the winery to the Stoli Group, known for its Stolichnaya vodka, without his consent.Despite progress in their divorce proceedings, the vineyard dispute shows no signs of resolution. Sources told DailyMail.com that both parties are prepared to take the matter to a jury trial or pursue mediation if necessary.

Angelina Jolie quietly helped out a Los Angeles charity as the city continues to burn from wildfires.The 49-year-old Oscar-winning actress wore casual clothing and her hair down with little makeup on as she pitched in with the World Central Kitchen.The ex-wife of Brad Pitt was seen at night next to several other female volunteers.Jolie did not seem to make a big deal about her volunteer work as she did not post about it on social media.It was a savvy move on her part as some other stars, like Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, made sure their relief efforts became a photo op.Also working with the World Central Kitchen were Eva Longoria, chef Tyler Florence and Jennifer Garner. Jason Collis shared a photo of Jolie as he said: 'Absolutely beyond proud of our incredible team—saying they're doing God's work is an understatement! She also received criticism for saying Meghan was 'hanging out with the commoners'.It comes after the couple opened the doors to their $29million mansion in Montecito, which is around 90 miles from LA, to their friends and loved ones who were forced to evacuate the ongoing wildfires.Speaking to FOX LA, Mayor Gordo said: 'They (Harry and Meghan) want to be as helpful as they can be and really they just want to be supportive.'He added that the couple visited some of the burnt out houses in Pasadena and Altadena and spoke to those who had lost their homes.

The two were seen catching up at the Golden Globe Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles on Sunday evening.The two sirens bonded when they made the superhero movie The Eternals, which came out in 2021. Jolie played Thena while Hayek was Ajak. They became so close they have spent time together off set, like at one of Hayek's birthday parties. In fact, they get along so well, Angelina cast Salma in her 2025 movie Without Blood. Jolie, who finalized her divorce from Brad Pitt last month, was also seen hugging Kate Winslet. In September, Hayek commented on how much she liked working with Angelina's kids on Without Blood The Oscar winner, 49, hired her sons Maddox, 23, and Pax, 20, to work on the set of Without Blood in the assistant director department. The AD department serves as a liaison between the director and other departments. 'They work hard,' star Hayek told People at the film's premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, adding that the director was 'very professional with them' on the set. 'She's demanding. They got the respect of the crew, and they were good with the crew, and they were very in their place,' the Academy Award nominee explained. 'They were not treating me like they treat me outside of there. They were very, "You have to come," and I go, "Okay!" It was kind of fun. 'They work hard. They are very serious about what they do.' The Mexican-born beauty said she had to adjust to the way she interacted with the boys on set.'It is kind of funny, I was teasing them at the beginning, but then I had to say, "No. I have to separate and just treat them like professionals because it's disrespectful,"' she explained. Pax recovered enough from his e-bike accident to join his mom of the red carpet. Maddox did not attend the festival. Without Blood is a 'parable-like tale of family, war, and revenge' according to the TIFF synopsis. 'In a frontier landscape at the beginning of the 20th century, gunmen descend on a remote farmhouse, determined to exact revenge. Their target, a doctor — alone with his son and daughter — tries desperately to protect his children. Inevitably, bullets fly.' Hayek said there was a bit of a role reversal with Jolie during the making of the film. 'In [Eternals] I was a little bit of a mother figure to her. In this movie, I felt like she was my motherly figure because she would come to the set and run it like a family,' the actress explained.'She was a very efficient mother, but she was also there emotionally every step of the way.' Hayek's daughter, Valentina, 16, whom she shares with husband François-Henri Pinault, was on the set as well, which the doting mom said made the shoot 'feel just so comfortable and lovely.'

Angelina Jolie recently revealed that acting became 'harder' after the death of her mother Marcheline Bertrand, who encouraged her to pursue the craft professionally.On Friday, the 49-year-old Maria actress explained to W Magazine how she and her late mother — who was just 56 when she passed away in early 2007 from breast cancer — 'were a team.'Jolie desired to make Bertrand 'happy' so she tried her hand in acting, though she revealed she does not recall 'making the choice.''I did it in the beginning because ... it was my mother's dream,' she told the outlet.She recalled how her mother pursued her own career in the industry, auditioning tirelessly for theater roles in Chicago and film gigs in Los Angeles.'But by the time my mom was 25, she was divorced with two kids and she decided she would focus her life solely on motherhood,' the Maleficent star said. By the time of her death, Bertrand had divorced Jolie's father, actor Jon Voight. The exes also shared a son, 51-year-old former actor James Haven.'She loved being being a stay-at-home mom, but she really wanted me to be an actress so I don't remember making the choice to be an actress. I remembered it made my mom happy,' she recalled. In 1982, then six-year-old Jolie made her acting debut alongside her father in Lookin' to Get Out. And to her, pursing a career in acting meant she could help her mother pay the bills. At the time, Bertrand was her manager. 'We were a team,' the ex-wife of Brad Pitt said. 'I always wanted to buy her a house and things like that — it kind of started that way.' The actress and her mother shared an lasting bond that endured until heartbreak struck.Diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 1999 and later breast cancer, Bertrand faced a grueling battle with both illnesses. On January 27, 2007, she tragically passed away at just 56-years-old.Reflecting on her mother's death she said, 'When my mom passed, I think it it was harder for me to be an actress for while.
