A Tomb Raider movie reboot is confirmed for release on March 16, 2018. It will star Alicia Vikander, but there are no confirmed reports yet whether the star of the original movie, Angelina Jolie, will be seen as a cameo in the kick-ass action movie.The game has been around for 20 years, while the movie adaptation was released in 2001. According to Producer Graham King, the new movie reboot will not pick-up on the last Lara Croft movie in 2003, Chatter Sports Net reported.King said the reboot will focus its story on Lara's search for her father, News Everyday reported. He said it is considered a back to the roots story. Since it is a father and daughter story, it is expected to be quite emotional, he said. And he believes that that arc is what captured Alicia's interest to star in the film.There were also reports that "The Danish Girl" Academy Award winner, Vikander, said the same thing about the plot, saying that it was an origin story. The 28-year-old star said the story will be emotional and hopefully fans will see a more in-depth side of the character. She hopes that this approach will bring something new to the table, allowing the film to stand on its own.The movie's director, Roar Uthaug, commended the 2013 game in March and said he will try to make the reboot do the same thing. He wants to make the character more relatable to fans. He also wants to add a touch of his Norwegian roots to the franchise.Angelina Jolie's "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" in 2001 is still the highest grossing movie based on a video game in the US. However, its "The Cradle of Life" sequel was considered a disappointment in the box office. The game is now on its 20th year after being released in 1996 for PlayStations, PCs, and the Sega Saturn.

Brad Pitt won't be celebrating Thanksgiving with Angelina Jolie and their six kids, contrary to reports, multiple sources confirm to Us Weekly."Angelina did not invite Brad to spend Thanksgiving with their kids," a source tells Us.As Us exclusively revealed, Pitt, 52, has only seen the pair's children — Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and 8-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne — three times since Jolie, 41, filed for divorce on September 19 after two years of marriage."He’s crushed," an insider told Us last week. "Brad has been deferential on what’s best for them and limits their stress." A Jolie source, however, claims that the kids didn't "warm up to him" during the monitored visits.Last year, in happier times, Pitt told Extra that he's the one that cooks during the holidays. "We've got Thanksgiving, man — I'm all over that turkey," he said at the time.As previously reported, Pitt and Jolie continue to share legal custody while the Maleficent actress has temporary physical custody. Since the split, she and the kids have been staying out of the spotlight in Malibu.Pitt, meanwhile, has been traveling around the world to promote his upcoming drama Allied. On Tuesday, one day after the film's London premiere, the FBI said that the actor won't face any charges over an alleged plane altercation with Maddox.

Angelina Jolie recorded a video message for the International Criminal Court to play while welcoming the new policy on children.A clip of the video is floating around on Twitter and it shows her congratulating the OTP (Office of the Prosecutor) on the new policy.“Successful prosecution, whether at the ICC or elsewhere is part of the long and vital generational effort. That is the light in which I believe the court’s new policy on children should be seen,” Angie says in the clip.“I particularly welcome the commitment to include charges for crimes against children wherever the evidence permits as part of a more systematic approach. I congratulate the office of the chief prosecutor, and all those working on the policy,” she adds.
