Angelina Jolie impressed viewers as she flew a plane with ease and elegance over the desert in Namibia in ITV's The Queen's Green Planet last night. The actress and committed humanitarian featured with her six children in the documentary about Her Majesty's plans to protect the environment."It's beautiful… I think it's the most beautiful places in the world," Jolie says to her co-pilot as she flies over the desert. Commenting on the impact of climate change, the star continues: "Even in the last decade [climate change] is so noticeable, and the expanding deserts... I love the deserts, but we don't want it expanding in such a way." Sir David Attenborough - who teamed up with Her Majesty to make the documentary - also provided the programme's commentary, and revealed that Jolie has partnered with the Namibian government to make a unique plant nursery to replace dying trees in the desert.Fans were also wowed by the Jolie's plane skills - she's held a private pilot license since 2004 - along with her contribution in preserving forest conservation in Africa.Jolie also only had wonderful things to say about the "lovely" Queen in the programme, and revealed she constantly educates her children on the monarch's stance on the importance of conservation."What it comes down to it you say to the kids, 'You know really, you don't know her, you can't understand all that it means to be a queen and all that,'" Jolie explained."But you try to say, 'You know she's just this really lovely lady who really cares about people around the world, and she really cares about the future."And she wants your grandkids and her grandkids to be able to be running around, enjoying nature and other cultures, and the importance of other cultures. She thinks that really matters and I agree with her." The 91-year-old monarch and the Oscar-winning actress previously met when Jolie was made an honorary dame by the Queen for her campaigning work fighting sexual violence in 2014.
