The family did not go to a fancy ice cream parlor, but rather hit up a food truck named Happy Ice in his van.Jolie looked to be nibbling on her pretzel.Vivienne wore a red and white shirt with cargo slacks and soleless sneakers as she ate what appeared to be rainbow sherbert.Zahara was in all black as she enjoyed lemon sherbet. This sighting comes just days after the Gia actress gave a candid interview. The actress explained in an interview with InStyle that the pressure to conform has been made worse by social media. She expressed hopes her children would learn how to be themselves instead of allowing social media dictate their likes and dislikes.'My children don't really do a lot of social media,' she explained. 'I'm hoping they'll have room to figure out what they like before they're told by a bunch of other people what they should like or how they're being perceived. My mom used to say when I was little, "Let me see your soul." 'That was her thing. Whenever I'd get upset or something, she'd say, "Let me see your soul." What it meant was, "Show me you. Are you mad? Let me see." I've never really talked about that. I think, I hope anyway, that's how I'm raising my children: Put what’s inside you forward and find you, figure out who you are.' She also said the older she gets, the more she sees the resemblance between herself and her late mother, Marcheline Bertrand.'I look in the mirror and I see that I look like my mother, and that warms me,' she told the website. 'I also see myself aging, and I love it because it means I'm alive—I'm living and getting older.'Don't love having a random dark spot from a pregnancy, sure. I see my flaws. But what I see that I like isn't about a structure or an appearance. It's more that I see my family in my face. I see my age.'Things have certainly changed for Angelina, who admitted to rebelliously using a sharpie to dye her hair as a teenager.'I was a bit of a tomboy. And then I was a bit of a punk. Nowadays it's very popular to dye your hair blue, for example. In my day you bleached it and used a Sharpie.'The humanitarian, who works with the UN, is still in the process of finalizing her divorce from Brad Pitt; seen in 2015. +9 The humanitarian, who works with the UN, is still in the process of finalizing her divorce from Brad Pitt; seen in 2015.As a girl, Angelina says she was never one to play with makeup. But now, she enjoys watching her adopted daughter Zahara, 13, do just that with her friends.'I buy a lot, especially for Z [Zahara]. Angelina Jolie picks up iced tea as Vivienne and Zahara cart the bags on shopping trip

Angelina Jolie looked healthy and relaxed as she took her daughters shopping in Los Angeles at the weekend. The mother-of-six was seen with two of her three daughters - Vivienne and Zahara. The low key trio blended in with the rest of the Saturday shoppers as they stopped by a Starbucks for iced teas, which Angelina then carried.Meanwhile Zahara, 13, and nine-year-old Vivienne carried shopping bags, among them purchases from luxury card shop Papyrus, and wrapping store Paper Works.Casually dressed, the sisters walked side by side, chatting together.Their mother looked more smart, with the actress dressed in a chic oversized belted camel coat, and stiletto heeled black boots.Angelina's other children, 16-year-old Maddox, Pax, 14, Shiloh, 11, and Vivienne's twin Knox were not present for the outing in the Studio City area. The Tomb Raider star turned director and humanitarian,  is currently single after splitting from Brad Pitt in September 2016.In a recent interview Angelina said she finds a 'real pleasure' in the fact she rarely gets any time to herself and wouldn't change things for the world.Asked how she relaxes, the 42-year-old told British glossy Hello: 'I really don't [relax]. I'm one of those people. It drives me nuts when people tell me to relax.'I think a lot of moms don't really rest. 'And that's where everything goes wrong,' she continued.'The wars and hostility, the ugliness and inhumanity in this world comes from this lack of being able to have real empathy for someone else.'If you can value others, I think things naturally balance out in your own life. When you don't live with ignorant perceptions and that smallness, you open up in a beautiful way.'Next year the busy actress/director/producer is set to reprise her role as dark fairy godmother Maleficent in the sequel to the 2014 Disney flick. Angelina Jolie shares the advice she gives her daughters

Actress Angelina Jolie has throughout her success remained dedicated to her humanitarian efforts, and she hopes to pass on her passion for service to her young daughters."I tell my daughters, 'What sets you apart is what you are willing to do for others. Anyone can put on a dress and makeup. It's your mind that will define you," she said in Elle's March issue. "Find out who you are, what you think, and what you stand for. And fight for others to have those same freedoms. A life of service is worth living." Two of her daughters, Shiloh, 11 and Vivienne, 9, joined her for the photoshoot with the magazine. (Jolie is also mother to Knox, 9; Zahara, 13; Pax, 14; and Maddox, 16.) Jolie, a goodwill ambassador and UN special envoy, has worked to achieve women's rights on a global scale for many years and co-founded the Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict Initiative in June 2012.The actress graced the cover of Elle in honor of International Women's Day, which takes place March 8. For the issue, she sat down with former Secretary of State John Kerry, for a wide-ranging discussion that touched on activism, the climate and politics. Jolie admitted that though she was "quite anti-politics" in her younger years, she soon discovered that her humanitarian efforts were best served by working with lawmakers."I also had this romantic idea that I would get my boots on and be a humanitarian. But at a certain point, you realize that's not enough," she said. " You have to find the root of the problem. And that, so often, brings you back to the law and politics."
