It looks like Angelina Jolie was the good cop parent after all. When Jolie and Brad Pitt ended their marriage, several reports claimed that she had lost control of the children because their father is the one who had real authority over them.In a new interview, Jolie spoke about how she is raising her six children — Maddox, 17, Pax, 15, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and 10-year-old twins, Vivienne and Knox.The humanitarian said she is fine with her clan misbehaving and getting in a little trouble because she does not want perfect children.Jolie explained while on BBC Radio 4’s Today show: “[My kids] all have a good rebellious streak that is wonderful and curious. I don’t want them to have perfectly behaved little people that just say what’s absolutely appropriate because I say so…they have to find themselves.”She continued: “I think, like most parents, we try our best to insert good stuff and we can’t control everything that they’re exposed to, so we try to ask that they will talk to us about anything they saw that bothers them or that they’re concerned about.” Jolie also explained: “The truth is that my children have seen things about themselves, even from what’s considered serious news people, that are inaccurate. So my children have a very odd sense of who’s telling the truth and what the truth really is and what they actually believe or trust”
The star went on to say that her children are the ones teaching her about certain things in life.She added: “Every parent says it, but we really do. They are all so much smarter than us. And I’ve had to learn from them. It has also been claimed that Pitt and his estranged wife butted heads while they were married because they disagreed on how to raise their children. An insider told Hollywood Life that the filmmaker is happy that he moved on from Jolie and stated: “Brad feels that Angelina and her divorce tactics continue to be hypocritical, vindictive, vengeful and controlling. He feels more confident than ever that divorcing Angelina has been the right thing to do for him. While he was heartbroken over the loss of Angelina for a while, seeing the uglier side of Angelina during this divorce battle has given Brad some peace and affirmation. He knows in his heart that he is doing the right thing and what is best for his family. He is looking forward to more peaceful days ahead, when the divorce is finalized and life post-Angie.”

They've just celebrated a family holiday.And on Wednesday, Angelina Jolie was seen taking four of the children she shares with ex-husband Brad Pitt out for breakfast in Los Angeles.The actress and humanitarian, 43, was all smiles as she chaperoned Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 10, through the city.Missing from the fun was her two oldest boys, Maddox, 17, and Pax, 14, who opted not to join the group.At one point the Malificent star seemed to lose her way and it looked like she asked a passerby for directions.Angelina was casually dressed in a long black jacket that she wore over a white T-shirt and skinny black pants with black flat shoes. Her children were more colorfully dressed with Zahara in a neon orange Nike hoodie and sneakers.Shiloh donned a yellow hoodie with blue arms plus the words 'We are the champions' across the front that she teamed with cut off khaki pants and sneakers.Knox oped for a khaki green puffer jacket that he wore over a grey T-shirt, black pants and a knitted hat as his twin, Vivienne wore a black oversized hoodie, jeans and sneakers. It's been one month since Angie and Brad, 54, settled their custody agreement.Recently, the actor had five of their six children stay overnight for the first time.After a hard fought battle, Angelina reportedly claimed that her ex got what he wanted in the deal.

She's finally reached a conclusion in her bitter divorce proceedings with Brad Pitt. And Angelina Jolie got set for Christmas as she went shopping with son Pax on Saturday. The 43-year-old actress strolled around the stores in Santa Monica, California with the 15-year-old - who reported recently stayed overnight with his father for the first time since the former power duo split in 2016. Pax, who wore a white hooded NASA top, was reportedly told by his mother that Brad 'never wanted to adopt him,' according to an Us Weekly source, in one of the darkest twists of their divorce.The Oscar-winner also reportedly told the boy during the fallout that Brad 'was angry' she had proceeded with the adoption.'It's harmed his and Brad's relationship, though Brad denied having said that specifically,' the insider claimed.The source claimed that Brad was instead concerned about adopting a three-year-old who didn't speak English less than a year after they welcomed Shiloh, in what was a 'very difficult time for the couple'.Pax was adopted by Angelina in March 2007 from an orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, two years after she met Brad on the film set of Mr & Mrs Smith.
