Angelina Jolie adopted her first daughter, Zahara Jolie-Pitt, in Ethiopia in July of 2005 when she was just 6-months-old. Now, 12 years later, Zahara's biological mother is asking to reconnect with her daughter. Mentewab Dawit Lebiso spoke to the DailyMail and explained that she's hoping to be a part of Zahara's life. "I just want her to know that I am alive and here and long to be able to speak with her," Lebiso said. "I do not want my daughter back but just to be in contact with her and be able to call her up and talk with her."Though Lebiso is not too proud to admit that Jolie has give her daughter an incredible life, that hasn't helped the longing to have a relationship with her child."Angelina has been more of a mother to her than I have ever been," she said. "She has been with her since she was a baby, but that does not mean I do not miss her. I miss her all the time. I think about her every day and long to hear her voice or see her face. I know when she has a birthday, but I am sad because I can't celebrate it with her. I would so much want to celebrate with her on her birthday and other special days." She continued, "I would like Zahara to know she has a mother who loves her as much as Angelina. I know her life is with Angelina is in another country and she speaks another language than me. She has a life that I could never give her, but I would still like to have some contact. I would like to see her face. She has grown into a beautiful woman, and I am so proud of her. My heart bursts because I am so proud." elivering her final plea to reach Jolie, Lebiso concluded, "We all die sometime and before I die I would like her to know about me and that she has family here in Ethiopia. I would ask Angelina to let me speak with her. I do not think it is too much to ask."Lebiso's plea comes in the middle of Jolie and Brad Pitt's divorce and custody battle over Zahara, 12, and their other five children, Maddox Jolie-Pitt, 15, Pax Jolie-Pitt, 13, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, 10, Knox Jolie-Pitt, 8, and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, 8.Though the famous exes currently have a voluntary temporary custody agreement in place—granting him supervised visitation rights as Jolie maintains primary physical custody—they're still working out the official custody arrangement, which has become a very public matter.After Jolie filed for divorce, federal and local authorities investigated allegations that the actor was abusive toward Maddox on a private flight. Pitt was later cleared of any wrongdoing. They were due back in court on Tuesday, but E! News learned the scheduled date was taken off the calendar.Meanwhile, last week, Pitt and Jolie released their first joint statement together since their divorce news, explaining that they'd be moving forward in a private forum."The parties and their counsel have signed agreements to preserve the privacy rights of their children and family by keeping all court documents confidential and engaging a private judge to make any necessary legal decisions and to facilitate the expeditious resolution of any remaining issues," their statement read. "The parents are committed to act as a united front to effectuate recovery and reunification."

Late last month, Brad's legal team requested an LA Superior Court judge to close the records of their children, claiming it violates their privacy, noting that information on the children's 'therapists and other mental health professionals' has already wound up in publication.It was stated that Angelina 'appears to be determined to ignore even agreed upon standards relating to the children's best interest.' But the actress has already signed a deal agreeing to have the documents sealed, a source tells DailyMail.com. It was added by the insider that because this was already cleared up, the Oscar winner thinks it's a 'press move.'And the Maleficent star also feels that if she really had no regard for his privacy 'she would have already revealed details about what happened on that flight in September.' The family allegedly got into an argument aboard a private plane in September, causing an anonymous source to call the DCFS. The FBI was then involved. Brad has since been cleared. 'The filing makes no sense legally,' the source told DailyMail, 'Everyone was surprised that he filed with the court because he already filed with the court before. Besides, Angelina had already signed an agreement to seal the court file. It protects the children and it also protects information about Brad.'It was added: 'All parties have already agreed and signed. The accusation that she is not protecting the privacy of her children is clearly false.'

Brad Pitt turned 53 years old on Dec. 18, but what should have been a celebratory day, might have been quite the opposite for the Allied star. After all, Angelina Jolie, 41, was spotted out and about that same day WITH their daughter Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, 10. And Brad was nowhere in sight.On their mother-daughter date, Angie and Shiloh hit up Samy’s Camera in Los Angeles as Angie took Shiloh camera shopping, according to US Weekly. “Shiloh is very interested in photography, and Angelina asked to look at some of the vintage cameras,” an insider told the publication. “Angelina inspected the cameras from many different angles and was asking questions. Shiloh was listening intently and paying close attention.”Apparently Shiloh and Angelina not only LOOKED at cameras though, Angie also purchased one of the models for her little girl! “Angelina told Shiloh she would love to get her the camera and asked her, ‘Are you satisfied?’ She told Shiloh it even had black and white, which was a nice added feature,” the source added.“Shiloh nodded her head but didn’t talk much. This past summer, months before Angelina Jolie stunned the world by splitting from Brad Pitt, the Oscar-winning actress offered a rare update about the couple’s six children. Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox have spent their young lives in a rarified, creative cocoon—jetting around the world; passing time on many a film set; making movie cameos; and learning from teachers of different backgrounds and religions. So it did not surprise anyone that the children’s extracurriculars were as impressive as their C.V.’s.“None of my kids want to be actors,” Jolie told an interviewer this June. “They are actually very interested in being musicians. I think they like the process of film from the outside. Mad is interested in editing.
