Angelina Jolie Angry About Alicia Vikander ‘Tomb Raider’ Reboot?

Angelina Jolie is NOT angry about Alicia Vikander taking over her Lara Croft role in a Tomb Raider reboot, despite a bogus tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this claim. We’re told it’s not true.A so-called “source” tells Star,Angie couldn’t have made it more obvious how much she disapproves. Hours after Alicia was cast, Angie told producers she was backing out of a planned cameo. It was a very ungracious and bitchy thing to do.” The outlet’s dubious insider goes on to claim that Vikander “couldn’t care less what Angie thinks,” and believes “Angie’s Tomb Raider movies were good, but in definite need of a refresh.” The “source” continues, “Alicia doesn’t need Angelina’s approval or her friendship.”Gossip Cop, however, checked in with a reliable source close to Jolie, who exclusively tells us the actress “turned down the opportunity long ago to resume her role as Lara Croft” and “was never planning on a cameo.” We’re further told that Jolie has absolutely no issues with Vikander starring in the upcoming reboot and the claim otherwise is simply untrue.Unfortunately, we’re not surprised by the tabloid’s tall tale, as Gossip Cop has called out Star for publishing false stories about both actresses. We recently debunked the magazine’s cover story alleging Jolie wanted Brad Pitt back. Additionally, Gossip Cop corrected the publication for wrongly reporting that Vikander was hooking up with Matt Damon. There was no truth to either of those claims, and the same goes for this latest one.

Salt 2 Might Not Star Angelina Jolie in the Title Role of Evelyn Salt

Salt 2: American action thriller film Salt which released way back in 2010 has grabbed a whole lot of eyeballs as Angelina Jolie delivered a gripping performance as a Russian Spy on the run in order to clear her name. The movie was a box office success, raking in $36,011,243 on its opening week, and was met with hugely positive reviews laying special emphasis on Jolie’s performance in the movie. And a sequel by the looks of it is very much on its way.During the promotion of the first movie, director Phillip Noyce was optimistic about a sequel, saying “Hopefully within a couple of years, we’ll have another one. Angelina’s so great in this part. When audiences see the movie they’re going to feel like it’s only just the beginning.” Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura also expressed further interest: Angie, I know, loved that character, and would love to explore the character some more first and foremost.” If all of that was just for publicity, Salt 2 got a green signal on June 6, 2011 when Kurt Wimmer was announced as the screenwriter for the sequel of the 2010 action thriller. Further, on December 10, 2012 Sony Pictures announced hiring screenwriter Becky Johnston along with the return of the producer duo of Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Sunil Perkash from the first film.
Tight-lipped is the correct word for the cast and crew of Salt 2 as no further official statements were obtained regarding the release of the upcoming movie, let alone any small significant information pertaining to it. The main point of concern about Salt 2 is one surrounding the involvement of Jolie in the film. In 2014, ScreenRant reported that the Maleficent actress will not feature in a possible Salt sequel but those talks have been falsified down the line. But Jolie has reportedly put a halt on signing new movies at the moment following her separation with Brad Pitt and the Hollywood diva seems to be on a break to sort things out before coming back to business. Post Salt in 2010, Jolie has expressed a diplomatic desire in coming back for Salt 2 quoting “if it comes together right” when asked about the sequel.Nevertheless, there is a very low possibility of Salt 2 even happening if the celebrated actress decides not to take part in it but by the looks of it, the sequel is a fair share of time away from actually being rolled out. If the rumours regarding the development of the movie actually materialise, we might see Salt 2 sometime in 2018.

Tomb Raider Reboot - Angelina Jolie Will Cameo?

A Tomb Raider movie reboot is confirmed for release on March 16, 2018. It will star Alicia Vikander, but there are no confirmed reports yet whether the star of the original movie, Angelina Jolie, will be seen as a cameo in the kick-ass action movie. The game has been around for 20 years, while the movie adaptation was released in 2001. According to Producer Graham King, the new movie reboot will not pick-up on the last Lara Croft movie in 2003, Chatter Sports Net reported.King said the reboot will focus its story on Lara's search for her father, News Everyday reported. He said it is considered a back to the roots story. Since it is a father and daughter story, it is expected to be quite emotional, he said. And he believes that that arc is what captured Alicia's interest to star in the film. There were also reports that "The Danish Girl" Academy Award winner, Vikander, said the same thing about the plot, saying that it was an origin story. The 28-year-old star said the story will be emotional and hopefully fans will see a more in-depth side of the character. She hopes that this approach will bring something new to the table, allowing the film to stand on its own.The movie's director, Roar Uthaug, commended the 2013 game in March and said he will try to make the reboot do the same thing. He wants to make the character more relatable to fans. He also wants to add a touch of his Norwegian roots to the franchise.Angelina Jolie's "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" in 2001 is still the highest grossing movie based on a video game in the US. However, its "The Cradle of Life" sequel was considered a disappointment in the box office. The game is now on its 20th year after being released in 1996 for PlayStations, PCs, and the Sega Saturn.

It will be based on Impossible Odds, the memoir Buchanan co-wrote with Erik Landemalm and Anthony Flacco.Buchanan was kidnapped in October 2011 while working in Somalia. She and her fellow humanitarian aid worker Poul Hagen Thisted, who is from Denmark, were caught by land pirates after their escort and protector sold them out.On Jan. 25, 2012, Buchanan and Thisted were freed after having been held captive for three months in Somalia. Thanks to the team of United States Navy SEALs who raided a compound 12 miles north of the Somali town of Adow and in the process killed nine Somali pirates. In 2013, the film adaptation of Impossible Odds had already been eyed for the big screen. Greg Silverman and Julia Spiro will oversee the upcoming biopic of Buchanan for Eastwood’s longtime home studio, Warner Bros.Academy Award winner Brian Helgeland will write the screenplay of the film, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He was the writer of the films Mystic River and Blood Work, which were both directed by Eastwood. The cast of the film has yet to be announced. One actress who is likely to play Buchanan excellently is Angelina Jolie, who is a humanitarian herself. If Jolie is tapped to play Buchanan, it will not be her first biopic role as she played Gia Carangi, a 1970s top fashion model who died of AIDS, in the 1998 film Gia. An excellent choice to play Landemalm, Buchanan’s husband, in the upcoming biopic is her fellow Academy Award winner Tom Hanks, who played the title role in Eastwood’s Sully.Meanwhile, Jolie is said to be in talks to star in a biopic titled Shoot Like a Girl. It is a drama film about the Afghanistan war focusing on the story of Air Force Major Mary Jennings Hegar.
