It is redemption time for reality (skin show) star Kim Kardashian.Last year at The Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute benefit gala Kim fought her way to get invited at the most talked about and fashionable evening of the year.But Kim had a serious costume misfire in a bright floral printed gown.This year the Kardashian torch bearer was clearly set on fashion redemption as she was spotted heading with Kanye West to this year's ball wearing a plunging Lanvin dress on Monday in New York.The 33-year-old mother of one looked gorgeous in what we call as a "Angelina Jolie inspired" number.During the 84th Annual Academy Awards Angelina Jolie looked ravishing in a black velvet Atelier Versace gown with a thigh-high slit.But Jolie soon became the butt of all jokes. She was being mocked at for her outrageous posing at the Academy Awards.The 36-year-old actress' strange pose of sticking out her right leg has been the subject of much ridicule.‘The Descendants’ writer Jim Rash mimicked her stance as he took to the stage to collect the Oscar for best adapted screenplay.The ‘Lara Croft’ star’s puzzling behaviour also resulted in a twitter page being set up, called @AngiesRightLeg.But now Angie must feel vindicated wearing that high slit and posing for the cameras.Angelina Jolie's leggy Versace dress at the 2012 Oscars started a slow burn trend that still has celebrities showing off their buffed gams at red carpet events.Kim Kardashian pulled an Angelina at this year's MET Gala with her leggy Lanvin showing a bit too much skin (which she anyway finds difficult to keep in check).But do you think Kim pulls off the attitude with which Angelina faces the camera? Angelina Jolie looks gorgeous in all black at a photo call for her highly anticipated upcoming film Maleficent held at Hotel Bristol on Tuesday (May 6) in Paris, France.The 38-year-old actress was joined at the event by her co-star Elle Fanning. The duo held hands as they took photos together – cute! A brand new featurette for Maleficent was just released, which features Angelina chatting about her work with the character. US actress Angelina Jolie has condemned as “unthinkable cruelty and evil” the kidnapping of over 200 schoolgirls in Nigeria by Boko Haram Islamists.The star was speaking in Paris on Tuesday about the themes of her latest film Maleficent for Disney, in which she plays a vindictive fairy driven to curse an infant princess.“Sadly of course there is real evil in the world, you watch the news and you see all of the people suffering and so much cruelty,” she told a news conference.“And it’s unthinkable cruelty like these girls that were kidnapped in Nigeria. Unthinkable cruelty and evil,” she said.A total of 276 students were kidnapped in Nigeria’s northeastern Borno state three weeks ago when Boko Haram stormed their school under the cover of darkness and loaded them onto trucks.Several managed to escape but over 220 girls were still being held, according to police.In a video message, Abubakar Shekau, the head of the Islamist group which has killed thousands in a five-year uprising, said it was holding the girls as “slaves” and threatened to “sell (them)”.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will be starring together in another film! JustJared.com can confirm that Angie wrote the original script. “The film is set in Europe,” our sources exclusively reveal to us. “It’s such an exciting new venture. People will not want to miss it!” This is the first project that Brad and Angie will share the silver screen together since nearly a decade ago in 2005′s Mr. And Mrs. Smith. Their on-screen chemistry from that film was off the charts – we can only hope for that in this new film! Angie next stars as the title character in Disney’s Maleficent, out May 30. She’s currently in post-production on Unbroken, the film she directed about the inspiring survival story of Olympic athlete and World War II prisoner of war Louis Zamperini. Opens December 25! Brad recently wrapped the World War II film Fury that hits theaters Nov. 14. He plays Sergeant ‘Wardaddy’!
