Angelina Jolie was proudly supported by her teenage daughter Zahara as the duo glammed up at the 82nd Annual Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills on Sunday. The Maleficent actress, 49 - who was previously joined by Zahara, 19, during the Palm Springs Film Festival - crossed paths with other celebrities on the glitzy red carpet, such as Zendaya and Ashley Graham. The star's appearance comes just days after it was revealed both she and Brad finalized their 'horrendous' divorce - although the former couple's battle of their French vineyard is still ongoing.Jolie - who is nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Drama for her leading role in Maria - turned heads wearing a shimmering, silver gown that clung to her figure. The ensemble contained a variety of small, sheer cutouts while tasseled details could be seen on the bottom hem. Angelina slipped into a pair of shiny, dark gold heels to complete the overall look for the special evening. Her long locks were pulled back into a half up do, allowing the strands to effortlessly cascade down past her shoulders in light waves. She accessorized the dress with a pair of flashy, silver earrings as well as rings on each of her hands with similar tasseled details. Jolie opted for a classical makeup look which comprised of a layer of mascara to her lashes as well as a light shadow around her eyes. A warm blush was added to her cheekbones for a radiant glow, while a nude-colored glossy tint was worn on her lips for a finishing touch.Angelina's daughter, Zahara, also dressed for the occasion in a sleeveless, white gown that was held up with thick straps that wrapped around her shoulders. Black, tree branch patterns were embroidered on the right side of the dress for a unique flare. The 19-year-old opted for minimal accessories to allow the ensemble to be the main focal point and her hair was swept up into a chic up do. The mother daughter duo paused for a brief photo session on the red carpet upon arriving to the Beverly Hilton Hotel where the festivities took place. Jolie shares Zahara, 19, Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16, with ex Brad Pitt.
Earlier this week on Friday, Angelina was also supported by Zahara as they attended the Palm Springs International Film Festival. She was notably honored with the Desert Palm Achievement for Best Actress - which was presented by her godmother, Jacqueline Bisset. The biographical drama, Maria - which was directed by Pablo Larrain - officially dropped on Netflix last month in December. Jolie garnered critical praise for her performance as the late opera singer, Maria Callas, in the movie. While talking to The Sunday Times last month in December, Jolie revealed that she is getting 'better work' in Hollywood as she has 'gotten older.''I don't think about it in terms of roles offered but in terms of life experience you contribute. It's easier for actors than singers or dancers because your body doesn't change.'Angeline then expressed that she disagreed with Maria Callas' views on aging but praised the late opera singer's 'commitment' to her passion. 'I'm a hard worker. And a deeply feeling person. Maria is vulnerable because she feels and isn't sometimes able to protect herself from the loneliness or emotional pain. Because it's part of her life and work to be extremely human and live that way.' The actress added, 'You live through your communication with the audience. For Maria and for me that has always been extremely important.'Both her sons Maddox and Pax helped out on the production of Maria, and most recently, Maddox and Zahara have also been spotted on set of her new project, Stitches. Late last month before New Year's Eve, it was revealed that Angelina and Brad had reached a divorce settlement following a lengthy, eight-year battle. The actress's lawyer told DailyMail.com that she is 'relieved this one part is over. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted.''More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr Pitt. She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family.'
Another insider shared that Jolie has 'been trying hard to be light after a dark time' and 'doesn't speak ill of him publicly or privately.''The kids have grown up seeing that some people have so much power and privilege that their voices don't matter. Their pain doesn't count.''They have wanted her to speak up for herself, to defend herself over these years but she reminds them to focus on changing laws over telling public stories,' the source continued. Other insiders also revealed to MailOnline the main reason Pitt wanted to reach a settlement and finalize his divorce from Angelina.Brad has since moved on with Ines de Ramon - whom he began dating back in 2022.'They are looking to get married in the next year and Brad has settled because he wants to keep his children on side for his new marriage to go ahead,' a source said on New Year's Eve.'Apparently Ines is keen to have children too and pressured him to get it all sorted out as soon as possible.''Brad will be relieved that he can finally move on and marry again. He has wanted his divorce settled long before now but he believes Angelina has been dragging her feet,' another source shared.'Angelina will argue she has been fighting for the best deal for their family, but whatever the truth, it ultimately clears the path for him walking down the aisle with Ines.'The insider continued, 'He will hope that he can build bridges with his children now that the divorce is finalized, but that looks like a long hard road.'On Angelina's side, she is 'hoping Brad Pitt will stop attacking her' after the 'horrendous' divorce battle. A source told People late last month, 'Angelina hopes the finalization of their divorce will enable him to move on, stop attacking her, and instead help heal their family.' 'Brad has successfully used his power and his privilege to cover up his conduct at his family’s expense, to punish Angelina for leaving, and even to attempt to paint her as the reason why his relationship is so challenging with the children.'Another insider also informed the outlet that, 'These last eight years have been such a horrendous time for her and her family.'But a separate source close to Brad shared, 'Jolie has engaged in one-sided attacks for the past eight years, including a never-ending distortion of facts.''And projecting their own behavior onto others, causing tremendous collateral damage to those in and around the family.'

Jolie seemed delighted by the personal connection Bisset provided at the awards ceremony on January 3.She thanked Bisset in her acceptance speech along with those she worked with on Maria with 'for allowing me to have a voice, and to find mine again.' 'I'm very grateful for our director Pablo Larrain. I was so scared to do this film ... it was a privilege to be on this journey with you.'She added: 'The freedom to express and create is the greatest.' Jolie's daughter Zahara, 19, accompanied her to the awards ceremony and got a shout out in her mother's speech along with her brothers and sisters.'Callas was loved. But Maria was often alone. But I'm all right because when I walk off this stage, I am more myself because of you, Zahara, and your brothers and sisters.' Angelina took singing lessons to portray Callas and opened up about that process in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.'It took many months of singing classes. Months of just getting the singing down and then the Italian classes and then the voice and doing all these things like her. You try to be precise,' she explained.
As Jolie receives accolades and award nominations for her role as Maria Callas, she revealed how it is the first job she's been able to give her all to in several years. In a Vanity Fair interview promoting the film, she talked about going 'very dark' and taking a step back from working these past few years, which appeared to coincide with her messy and on-going divorce from Brad Pitt.Jolie's daughter Zahara, 19, accompanied her to the awards ceremony and got a shout out in her mother's speech along with her brothers and sisters.'Callas was loved. Angelina Jolie had a surprising answer for a reporter who asked if she feels 'nervous' about her son Maddox flying a plane. The 49-year-old critically acclaimed actress answered, 'No,' in her recent W magazine interview when prompted about her 23-year-old child.Inside the glossy's Volume 1, Best Performances issue, she explained, 'Maybe I just have a big family.'I worry more that people aren't finding themselves and something they love. I think that's more dangerous — to walk so tentatively through life that you don't take a risk. You don't wake up with passion. I think that's scarier.'She elaborated, 'I'd rather they be out there trying and failing than not pushing and being passionate.'In December she confirmed that Maddox had become a trained pilot during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. 'Every time Mad sees a plane, he's amazed,' she previously shared with People magazine. 'If I could actually fly a plane by the time he's 4, I'll be like Superman to him.' She later bought a Cirrus SR22-G2, a single-engine plane, and used the initials MX in her tail number as a nod to her child. In 2017 she told the outlet, 'He's quite capable and always takes me by surprise. He's been practicing flying, then they called me the other day and said, 'So Mad can go solo,' and I nearly dropped the phone!' Elsewhere in her new W feature, Jolie remarked that she loathes a liar.'My pet peeve is somebody who is a liar,' she opened up.'Somebody who feels a need to not say the truth or what they want, what they feel,' she went on.'There's a big version of that — and I'm not trying to be heavy about it — but people who say one thing and mean another, who aren't completely who they are. I think a lot of people don't say what they mean,' she stated. In addition to Maddox, the Maria sensation is mom to Pax, 21, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and fraternal twins Knox and Vivienne, 16. She shares her brood of six children with ex-husband Brad Pitt, with whom she reached a divorce settlement last week.Eight years after the siren filed for divorce citing 'irreconcilable differences,' the former couple came to a legal agreement.Angelina's lawyer James Simon told People: 'More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt. She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family.'This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over.'Although the split was acrimonious, a source close to Jolie added: 'She doesn't speak ill of [Pitt] publicly or privately. She's been trying hard to be light after a dark time.'

Angelina Jolie recently revealed that acting became 'harder' after the death of her mother Marcheline Bertrand, who encouraged her to pursue the craft professionally. On Friday, the 49-year-old Maria actress explained to W Magazine how she and her late mother — who was just 56 when she passed away in early 2007 from breast cancer — 'were a team.'Jolie desired to make Bertrand 'happy' so she tried her hand in acting, though she revealed she does not recall 'making the choice.''I did it in the beginning because ... it was my mother's dream,' she told the outlet. She recalled how her mother pursued her own career in the industry, auditioning tirelessly for theater roles in Chicago and film gigs in Los Angeles.'But by the time my mom was 25, she was divorced with two kids and she decided she would focus her life solely on motherhood,' the Maleficent star said. By the time of her death, Bertrand had divorced Jolie's father, actor Jon Voight. The exes also shared a son, 51-year-old former actor James Haven.'She loved being being a stay-at-home mom, but she really wanted me to be an actress so I don't remember making the choice to be an actress. I remembered it made my mom happy,' she recalled. In 1982, then six-year-old Jolie made her acting debut alongside her father in Lookin' to Get Out. And to her, pursing a career in acting meant she could help her mother pay the bills. At the time, Bertrand was her manager. 'We were a team,' the ex-wife of Brad Pitt said. 'I always wanted to buy her a house and things like that — it kind of started that way.' The actress and her mother shared an lasting bond that endured until heartbreak struck.Diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 1999 and later breast cancer, Bertrand faced a grueling battle with both illnesses. On January 27, 2007, she tragically passed away at just 56-years-old.Reflecting on her mother's death she said, 'When my mom passed, I think it it was harder for me to be an actress for while. I realized how much it was for her.'A year after her mother's passing, Jolie opened up to Vanity Fair about how her mother's devotion to motherhood became a guiding light in her own journey as a parent.'When [my mother] passed, I realized that somebody who lives life with that kind of dedication to their family is the most noble,' she shared. 'In her passing, she reminded me what matters. And what's most fun — to put yourself aside for these other little people you're raising.'Just last month, Jolie delivered a touching tribute to her late mother while accepting the Performer Tribute at the Gotham Awards for her role in Netflix's Maria. Detailing her mother’s passion for theater and literature, she explained how it influenced her own creative journey and that of her brother, Haven.'I grew up with a mother who kept books inside the oven because there were more books in our house than shelves in the apartment we had, 'she said in her speech.'It was how she solved the problem, while still making sure we were fed. But it was her priority.'Jolie shares share six children with her ex Brad Pitt — Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16.
