We can always count on Lady Gaga for being unpredictable on the red carpet.The "Applause" singer showed up at the 2013 MTV VMAs not in an egg or in a meat dress (bo-ring!) but in a rather understated yet sexy look that channeled Angelina Jolie's goth ensemble at the 2000 Oscars."Mother Monster", as her fans dub her, sported a more laidback look complete with Jolie-esque raven hair, natural makeup and a long black Prabal Gurung dress which wasn't quite as sexy and Angie's Elvira-inspired gown but was definitely not as avant-garde as most of her former outfits (see Kermit jacket).So, what's going on? Is that really Lady Gaga underneath the nearly makeup-free face and a dress that has an actual sparkly sash tied around it?Fortunately, we were able to breathe a sigh of relief when the high heel lover got up on stage and changed not once, but a fabulous five times. Now that's the Gaga we know and love.

Angelina Jolie has released a statement about the children of Syria and the horrific conditions they are subject to in order to raise awareness in the international community.“What is happening to the children of Syria is sickening,” the 38-year-old actress and UNHCR Special Envoy said in a statement (via E! News). “Thousands of innocent young boys and girls have lost their lives in horrific circumstances, including in recent attacks near Damascus. And now one million Syrian children are struggling to survive as refugees in heart-breaking conditions.”“Each one of these child refugees is an innocent victim of a senseless conflict. These vulnerable children need shelter, food and assistance. Gemma Atkinson has revealed that she would love to star in an action film just like Angelina Jolie did in ‘Salt’.The ‘Night of the Living 3D Dead’ star admitted her love for action when she was asked whether she preferred the horror genre over others, Metro.co.uk reported.The actress also revealed that she practices kick-boxing and would like to incorporate that sort of fighting into a film.Atkinson added that she does get excited by horror films like ‘The Exorcist’, where it’s all about the paranormal and based on a true-story.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are reportedly planning a Labor Day wedding.The Hollywood actors have been engaged since April 2012 and apparently they will tie the knot around the US holiday on September 2.Neighbours have noticed wedding-related hustle and bustle in and out of Brad and Angelina’s Los Angeles home."Their house is bustling with activity, and one friend even saw a top Los Angeles wedding planner exiting their front door last month," a source told America’s OK! magazine."At any given moment, there’s at least a dozen people tending to the house: cleaning, mowing the lawn, planting new flowers, hosing down the driveway. They are definitely fixing to do something big, and a wedding would make perfect sense."Although their house is preparing for some type of event, it is not clear whether or not the nuptial ceremony will take place there."Angelina wants to exchange vows in a registry office with immediate family and the six kids, then host a huge party at their place for all their friends and extended family," the insider explained.Angelina and Brad raise six children and all the kids are eager to be involved in the spectacular affair."Zahara wants to be maid of honour and, knowing Angie, she’ll let her," the source said."Shiloh wants to be an usher, and Pax and Maddox have said they’ll help Brad’s brother Doug be best man. Unbroken, Angelina Jolie's second film as a director, which tells the story of Olympic track star and war hero Louis Zamperini, is gearing up for production, having already received a Christmas 2014 release date from Universal Pictures, and two more up and coming actors have joined the cast: Domhnall Gleeson (left) and Finn Wittrock.Jack O'Connell was previously cast to play Zamperini, a track star who became a Japanese prisoner of war during WWII after surviving a plane crash, and they'll be joining him as Phil and Mac, two of the men stranded at sea for 28 days with Zamperini in a life raft after their plane is gunned down.The son of Irish actor Brendan Gleeson has been making his own name for himself in recent years, having first become known in the role of Bill Weasley in the "Harry Potter" movies. He's become an incredibly in-demand leading man in the last few years with major roles in Joe Wright's Anna Karenina and Richard Curtis' upcoming About Time, released in the States on November 1.Wittrock meanwhile is best known for playing Damon Miller on the soap opera "All My Children" with upcoming roles in Darren Aronofsky's Noah, Akiva Goldsman's Winter's Tale, Ryan Murphy's HBO movie "The Normal Heart" and Showtime's "Masters of sex ."Adapted from Laura Hillendbrand's bestselling book about the track star by the prestigious quartet of Joel and Ethan Coen, William Nicholson and Richard LaGravenese, production is set to start in the fall with Jolie producing with Matthew Baer, Erwin Stoff and Clayton Townsend.
