'MALAFICENT' actress Angelina Jolie has said having a double mastectomy last year was "the right choice" for her family, and revealed she wants to tell her story to inspire women around the world. The 'Maleficent' actress underwent the preventative procedure in February 2013 after being told she had an 87 per cent chance of getting breast cancer, and she spoke out about her decision in order to help other women in similar positions. She told the Mail on Sunday newspaper's You magazine: "I didn't know how it would be received. I wanted other women to be aware of something that they could take on and protect themselves from."I felt that I'd learnt something about my health, and I felt I'd made the right choice for my family and I simply wanted other women to know that there was that choice." Angelina is facing further surgery because she is genetically at risk of suffering from ovarian cancer, and she has been inspired by the support from women all over the world. She added: "It has been lovely and very moving; I've had so much support and kindness ... I'll get advice from all the wonderful people I've been talking to, to get through the next stage."

For the upcoming movie Maleficent, Angelina Jolie's signature smize will be brimming with something earthy and animalistic (besides the new MAC-inspired makeup collection). That's because she will be glaring at you with special contact lenses, inspired by goats. Yes, goats. An Allure interview with Maleficent special-effects makeup artist Rick Baker and Jolie's personal makeup artist, Toni G, revealed the reason for the inspiration: “That’s also something Angie wanted. They have horizontal pupils. It’s funny. Usually I’m the one pushing for prosthetics and weirdness and it was kind of the reverse on this film." Maybe Jolie just knew that Maleficent deserved a place with the goats meme.
