Salt 2: American action thriller film Salt which released way back in 2010 has grabbed a whole lot of eyeballs as Angelina Jolie delivered a gripping performance as a Russian Spy on the run in order to clear her name. The movie was a box office success, raking in $36,011,243 on its opening week, and was met with hugely positive reviews laying special emphasis on Jolie’s performance in the movie. And a sequel by the looks of it is very much on its way.During the promotion of the first movie, director Phillip Noyce was optimistic about a sequel, saying “Hopefully within a couple of years, we’ll have another one. Angelina’s so great in this part. When audiences see the movie they’re going to feel like it’s only just the beginning.” Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura also expressed further interest: “Angie, I know, loved that character, and would love to explore the character some more first and foremost.” If all of that was just for publicity, Salt 2 got a green signal on June 6, 2011 when Kurt Wimmer was announced as the screenwriter for the sequel of the 2010 action thriller. Further, on December 10, 2012 Sony Pictures announced hiring screenwriter Becky Johnston along with the return of the producer duo of Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Sunil Perkash from the first film.
Tight-lipped is the correct word for the cast and crew of Salt 2 as no further official statements were obtained regarding the release of the upcoming movie, let alone any small significant information pertaining to it. The main point of concern about Salt 2 is one surrounding the involvement of Jolie in the film. In 2014, ScreenRant reported that the Maleficent actress will not feature in a possible Salt sequel but those talks have been falsified down the line. But Jolie has reportedly put a halt on signing new movies at the moment following her separation with Brad Pitt and the Hollywood diva seems to be on a break to sort things out before coming back to business. Post Salt in 2010, Jolie has expressed a diplomatic desire in coming back for Salt 2 quoting “if it comes together right” when asked about the sequel.Nevertheless, there is a very low possibility of Salt 2 even happening if the celebrated actress decides not to take part in it but by the looks of it, the sequel is a fair share of time away from actually being rolled out. If the rumours regarding the development of the movie actually materialise, we might see Salt 2 sometime in 2018.

Angelina Jolie & daughter Shiloh Jolie-Pitt spent some quality time together on Dec. 18, which also happens to be Brad Pitt’s birthday! And while Angie & Shiloh seemed to have a nice time together exploring Shiloh’s latest hobby, we couldn’t help but wonder if the actress denied Brad of spending time with their kids on his special day! Brad Pitt turned 53 years old on Dec. 18, but what should have been a celebratory day, might have been quite the opposite for the Allied star. After all, Angelina Jolie, 41, was spotted out and about that same day WITH their daughter Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, 10. And Brad was nowhere in sight. On their mother-daughter date, Angie and Shiloh hit up Samy’s Camera in Los Angeles as Angie took Shiloh camera shopping, according to US Weekly. “Shiloh is very interested in photography, and Angelina asked to look at some of the vintage cameras,” an insider told the publication. “Angelina inspected the cameras from many different angles and was asking questions. Shiloh was listening intently and paying close attention.”Apparently Shiloh and Angelina not only LOOKED at cameras though, Angie also purchased one of the models for her little girl! “Angelina told Shiloh she would love to get her the camera and asked her, ‘Are you satisfied?’ She told Shiloh it even had black and white, which was a nice added feature,” the source added.“Shiloh nodded her head but didn’t talk much. She really listened to Angelina and deferred to her on everything. Angelina purchased the camera and they stayed for about 10 minutes and then left with a driver.” There has been no word yet on how Brad celebrated his big day, but it seems like Angie and the kids were not apart of the festivities.Hopefully the actor will get to see his six little ones over the holidays though, as he sadly didn’t even get to spend time with them on Thanksgiving! Together, Brad and Angelina share Shiloh, Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 11, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8. “Brad hopes to see the kids for Christmas at some point, but when, hasn’t been determined,” an alleged friend of his told the mag. But despite the unknown, “Brad is committed to staying positive. He’s just trying to look ahead.” Way to have a positive outlook!

This past summer, months before Angelina Jolie stunned the world by splitting from Brad Pitt, the Oscar-winning actress offered a rare update about the couple’s six children. Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox have spent their young lives in a rarified, creative cocoon—jetting around the world; passing time on many a film set; making movie cameos; and learning from teachers of different backgrounds and religions. So it did not surprise anyone that the children’s extracurriculars were as impressive as their C.V.’s.“None of my kids want to be actors,” Jolie told an interviewer this June. “They are actually very interested in being musicians. I think they like the process of film from the outside. Mad is interested in editing. Pax loves music and deejaying.”And now Shiloh seems to be honing another film-adjacent hobby these days: photography.“Shiloh is very interested in photography,” an “insider” tells Us Weekly, before describing in suspicious detail how Jolie and her daughter stopped by an L.A. photography store on Sunday to inspect its merchandise.“Angelina asked to look at some of the vintage camera,” the source continues. “Angelina inspected the cameras from many different angles and was asking questions. Shiloh was listening intently and paying close attention.”The detailed report goes on: “Angelina told Shiloh she would love to get her the camera and asked her, ‘Are you satisfied?’ She told Shiloh it even had black and white, which was a nice added feature. Shiloh nodded her head but didn’t talk much. She really listened to Angelina and deferred to her on everything.”Shiloh is not the first Pitt-Jolie member to develop a fondness for photography. In 2008, Jolie told W magazine about supporting Brad Pitt’s habit, telling the magazine that she bought him a Littman 45 Single camera for Christmas. The magazine published personal photos Pitt took of his family.Jolie later said, “I love his photography. . .Some people have a hobby, and they find the quickest way to it and are very pleased with the outcome right away. But he’s someone who will really study the camera—he’ll get the most complicated one and really understand the science behind it. And he’s very critical of his own work. I’ll see a photograph and think it’s amazing, but he’ll see all the different reasons why it can be better, and he’ll work very, very hard to improve it.”The Pitt-Jolie children have hobbies far beyond the camera though. This past summer, Jolie detailed her children’s additional interests, explaining, “All the kids are learning different languages. . .I asked them what languages they wanted to learn and Shi is learning Khmai, which is a Cambodian language, Pax is focusing on Vietnamese, Mad has taken to German and Russian, Z is speaking French, Vivienne really wanted to learn Arabic, and Knox is learning sign language.”“I suppose that just means you don’t know who your children are until they show you who they are and they are just becoming whoever they want to be,” Jolie said.Last summer, Jolie confirmed that she and her eldest son, Maddox, are making a movie for Netflix together.

Jon Voight was in a jolly mood at the 22nd Critics' Choice Awards. After posing for photographers on the red carpet, the 77-year-old Ray Donovan actor—nominated in the Best Supporting Actor category—spoke to E! News about his holiday plans and gave an update on how Angelina Jolie is doing in the wake of her divorce from Brad Pitt."Christmas is family, and I have lots of family. I'm hoping to see my grandchildren. I'm hoping to see my grandnieces and nephews and be with them. I'm making the plans now," he told E!'s Marc Malkin. "By the way, I'm supposed to be making these plane flights right as we speak."But, like many actors who've been on the awards circuit, Voight admitted, "I'm a little behind." Though he still has to finalize his travel arrangements, Voight isn't entirely behind schedule this year. In fact, he already has his grandchildren's Christmas presents picked out. "I have a couple of things that I do for the grandkids. They look forward to the same things every year," he said. "The kids in New York, we get to see a show. So, I get them all tickets to a show that they like." This will be Jolie's first Christmas since filing for divorce from Pitt in September. The breakup has been hard on everyone in the family, and as a result, the actors and their six children are undergoing individual and group counseling. "She's OK," Voight said of Jolie. "She's holding on." When E! News caught up with Voight at the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them premiere last month, he politely declined to discuss the details of his daughter's divorce. "I appreciate everybody's concern and their prayers," he said. "Hopefully things will work out." Shortly after Jolie, 41, filed for divorce, she and Pitt reached a temporary custody agreement. Weeks later, the FBI closed its investigation into Pitt regarding an alleged incident between him and a child aboard a private plane on Sept. 15. The Allied actor, 52, later asked a judge to make all matters related to their divorce private; the judge will decide on the matter next year.
