Jennifer Aniston has better things to worry about, well, at least according to her bestie Chelsea Handler. The comedian, 42, opened up in a new interview about her friendship with Aniston, 48, and said that the Friends alum doesn’t really care about what’s going on in the lives of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.Speaking with the U.K.’s You magazine, Handler defended Aniston against “crazy” rumors that she spends her time harping on Jolie’s split from Pitt, 53, whom the Maleficent actress, 41, filed for divorce from in September.“I don't think Jen cares about what's going on, and it's crazy that people think she does,” the former Chelsea Lately host told the publication about Aniston. “As if she's sitting around caring about [Angelina Jolie]. I know I don't.” This isn’t the first time Handler has shaded Jolie since her two-year marriage and more-than-decade-long relationship with Pitt fell apart. On a September 2016 episode of her Netflix series, Chelsea, the New Jersey native took aim at the Academy Award–winning actress. “There are reports that part of the problem was Brad was allegedly drinking and smoking too much weed,” she said of Pitt, who shares Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 10, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 8, with Jolie. “I wonder why he needed to self-medicate. Maybe because he could have been spending the last 12 years at Lake Como hanging out with George Clooney and Matt Damon, instead of being stuck in a house with 85 kids speaking 15 different languages?” Aniston was married to Pitt from July 2000 until October 2005. After her high-profile romance with the Fight Club hunk ended, the Cake actress was linked to several famous men, including Vince Vaughn and John Mayer, before she fell in love with husband Justin Theroux, whom she wed in August 2015.

Angelina Jolie’s rebellious past almost affected her legendary career. The former bad girl had to agree to drug tests during the filming of the 2001 film “Tomb Raider” before she got the role, director Simon West revealed in Stephen Galloway’s new biography of former Paramount executive Sherry Lansing. At the time, 24-year-old Jolie was in her wild child phase, including her relationship with Billy Bob Thornton, and executives worried about her “baggage.” “She said: ‘Look, I want to do it, but I know what my reputation is, and I'll do anything you want to prove that I'm worthy. I'll be reliable, and I'll turn up, and I'll work hard,’” West said in the excerpt of "Leading Lady" acquired by the Hollywood Reporter. “She said, ‘I don't care if the studio wants to drug test me every day.’” And that’s what they did: Then-Paramount president John Goldwyn required random drug tests — urine and blood — which Jolie continually passed.“Tomb Raider,” based off the wildly popular video game series, eventually went on to make $275 million worldwide and launched two sequels, including an upcoming spinoff starring Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft.
Jamie Dornan’s Wife Forbid Him From Working With Angelina Jolie?

Jamie Dornan’s wife, Amelia Warner, did NOT forbid him from working on a film with Angelina Jolie, despite a made-up tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this claim. We’re told it’s not true.A so-called “source” tells Star that Jolie recently pursued the Fifty Shades star to play her love interest in an upcoming movie, saying, “Angie wanted someone tall, dark and handsome. And after seeing Jamie’s work, she thought he certainly fit the bill.” The outlet’s dubious insider goes on to purport that Warner is concerned because the actress has hooked up with co-stars in the past, including Brad Pitt, Billy Bob Thornton and Jonny Lee Miller.“Amelia trusts Jamie completely, but she’s heard enough to know Angie likes to get whatever, or whomever, she wants,” adds the magazine’s questionable source. But Gossip Cop checked in with a reliable source close to the situation, who exclusively assures us that Warner never forbid her husband from working with Jolie, and the claim otherwise is entirely fabricated.Unfortunately, we’re not surprised by the tabloid’s bogus report. Gossip Cop previously busted Star for falsely claiming that Dornan and Warner’s marriage was in trouble. We also corrected the outlet for wrongly alleging Dornan’s wife was jealous of Dakota Johnson. There was no truth to those stories, and the same goes for this latest one.

New Tomb Raider Movie Is "Very Different" Than The Angelina Jolie Films

It's a story that not only highlights her incredible physical accomplishments but delves deeper into her humanity,After the first official images from the new Tomb Raider film came online this week, more details about the upcoming video game movie have emerged.Director Roar Uthaug started off by telling GQ that filming is now wrapping up in South Africa and will move to London next. The film, which stars Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft, premieres in March 2018.It's no secret that video game movies have a generally poor track record when it comes to quality. Uthaug told GQ that he thinks the movie will resonate with fans of the series because it is inspired by and references "the entire Tomb Raider canon." There have been two Tomb Raider films already, starring Angelina Jolie. The new one is different in that it's an origin story for Croft, much like the 2013 video game."It's a story that not only highlights her incredible physical accomplishments but delves deeper into her humanity," Uthaug explained."I've seen the films--they were a lot of fun and Angelina Jolie was a terrific Lara Croft. We are [making] a very different film, an origin story and I think fans will love Alicia in the role," he added. The 2013 Tomb Raider reboot was partially the inspiration for the movie, and the film will contain "many touchstones" from the game. But Uthaug wants fans to know that the new movie is not like other video game adaptations, as it will focus more on practical effects instead of CGI (Michael Fassbender said the same thing about the Assassin's Creed movie)."Our movie takes a more realistic, grounded approach. Lara Croft is a hero and a champion but she is not a superhero. She is very much human, and we see her deal with that humanity in many ways," he said. You can read the full interview here at GQ, while some new images of Vikander as Croft can be seen in the Twitter embed above. The new Tomb Raider also features Walton Goggins (Sons of Anarchy) as the villain and Daniel Wu (Warcraft) as a ship captain who serves as an ally. The Wire's Dominic West plays Croft's father. As for the Tomb Raider game series, a sequel to 2015's Rise of the Tomb Raider has not been announced, but it is expected. The 2013 reboot has been described as part of a trilogy. A leak last year suggested the name of the third game is Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
