$254 million were earned by the top 10 highest-paid actresses in the world.Forbes has released one of its annual lists focusing on the exuberant amount of money involved in showbiz, this one, focusing on the highest-earning actresses.The outlet noticed that because of theater closures, 2020 has been an odd year for actors' paychecks, as stars often earn bonuses based on the commercial success of a movie.Female-led films like "Black Widow" and "Wonder Woman 1984" are expected to make several hundred million dollars, if not join the billion-dollar club once they debut in theaters.Because of the year's strange circumstances, eight of the top 10 earning actresses made the bulk of their cash from TV and streaming. Of course, endorsements and licensing deals pad some of the entries' earnings.At number one is Sofia Vergara ($43 million), who wrapped up "Modern Family" this year while earning $500,000 per episode. She now works as a judge on "America's Got Talent," which pays her at least $10 million per season, the outlet reports.Angelina Jolie ($35.5 million) sits at number two as one of the only entries earning the bulk of her money from traditional films, including her big check for Marvel's upcoming "The Eternals," which was set for release this fall before the pandemic shifted release schedules.At number three is Gal Gadot ($31.5 million), having earned $20 million for filming Netflix's "Red Notice." "Wonder Woman 1984" is currently set for a December release, as is "Death on the Nile" -- both could bring in more cash for the star after their release.Melissa McCarthy ($25 million) comes in at number four. The two-time Oscar nominee pulled in big paychecks for filming HBO Max's "Superintelligence," Netflix's "Thunder Force" and NBC's "Little Big Shots." She also appears in Disney's live-action remake of "The Little Mermaid." Meryl Streep ($24 million), at number five, re-enters the list after an eight-year absence after earning an eight-figure check for Netflix's "The Prom" and at least $5 million for HBO Max's "Let Them All Talk." Not to mention, the screen legend appeared in 2019's "Little Women." At number six is Emily Blunt ($22.5 million), who joins Jolie as another star having earned money mainly from theatrical releases. She also made eight figures upfront on "A Quiet Place II" and seven figures on "Jungle Cruise." At number seven, Nicole Kidman ($22 million) joined Streep in earning eight figures for "The Prom" and will earn about $1 million per episode for her upcoming HBO miniseries "The Undoing." "Grey's Anatomy" star Ellen Pompeo ($19 million) comes in at number eight. The star now earns about $550,000 per episode and nets $6 million per year in syndication profits.Elisabeth Moss ($16 million) of "Handmaid's Tale" fame comes in at number nine. The actress makes $1 million per episode and "Invisible Man" made much more than expected this year.Rounding out the list at number 10 is Viola Davis. The Oscar winner earned seven figures each for "How to Get Away with Murder" and "Ma Rainey's Black Bottom." Forbes estimates the earnings of the stars based on data obtained from Nielsen, Box Office Mojo and IMDB, which is supplemented by "interviews with industry insiders."

A year ago, we once again investigated the account to find it was still untrue. Today, our verdict remains the same. Angelina Jolie is currently embroiled in a custody and divorce battle with Brad Pitt, but the actress is also primarily just focused on raising her children. Keanu Reeves is reportedly dating Alexandra Grant who he's been linked to since 2019. If Jolie and Reeves were even remotely involved with each other, every news outlet in the world would’ve covered their alleged relationship. The Tabloids Have Been Wrong About Angelina.Moreover, this wasn’t the first bogus report we busted from NW about Jolie. Around this time last year, the same tabloid alleged Jolie was having “secret sleepovers” with Bradley Cooper. Gossip Cop debunked the story when it came out. Angelina Jolie has lost her battle to remove Judge John W. Ouderkirk from her bitter divorce proceedings with ex-husband Brad Pitt. Jolie had previously claimed that Ouderkik - who married the couple at their lavish French wedding in 2014 - failed to disclose 'ongoing business and professional relationships' that he had with Pitt's legal team, and therefore didn't think it was 'fair' to have him on the case. However, court documents reveal that the case is still "assigned to Honorable Judge W. Ouderkirk (Ret.) for all purposes" per a Friday report by UsWeekly. A source also told the publication that Ouderkirk will still be presiding over the case between Pitt, 56, and Jolie, 45. In August, Jolie was accused of deliberately trying to delay their bitter four-year long divorce battle by Pitt's legal team, after she filed a request to remove Ouderkirk. But Jolie hit back via her own legal representative, who said her client just wanted a 'fair trial' with 'no special favors' for either herself or Pitt. 'All my client is asking for is a fair trial based on facts, with no special favors extended to either side,' Jolie's lawyer, Samantha Bley DeJean, told UsWeekly in a statement. The statement added: 'The only way litigants can trust the process is for everyone involved to ensure that there’s transparency and impartiality.'The report also added a comment from Neama Rahmani, president of West Coast Trial Lawyers, who believes that Judge Ouderkirk is 'biased in Brad's favor' due to the personal connections they have. An insider recently told UsWeekly of the divorce battle: 'They're at a total impasse. And there's no end in sight.' As previously reported in court documents, Jolie claimed that Ouderkik - who married the couple at their lavish French wedding in 2014 - failed to disclose 'ongoing business and professional relationships' that he had with Pitt's legal team.However, Pitt responded in papers filed on August 13, calling Jolie's filing a 'Hail Mary' - an American Football reference to deliberately delay a game.In them, Pitt's legal team accuses the actress of making a 'transparently tactical gambit' to delay matters, adding that it will be their own children who are 'hurt most' by the hold up. The papers describe Jolie's request as 'a thinly-veiled attempt by Jolie to delay the adjudication of long-pending custody issues in this case.'
The former power couple - who first split in 2016, effectively ending a 12-year relationship and two years of marriage - share six children, Maddox, 19, Pax, 16, Zahara, 15, Shiloh, 14, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 12. Jolie alleged in her filing that Ouderkirk 'failed to make timely mandatory disclosures of ongoing business and professional relationships between himself' and Pitt's legal team. She added in her request that she was 'never afforded the opportunity to even raise a concern or to object to the ever-increasing business relationships between Judge Ouderkirk and [Pitt's] counsel — relationships that were providing a steady stream of income to Judge Ouderkirk and the potential for future work.'Adding: 'These are precisely the type of repeat customer circumstances that create doubts about a privately-compensated private judge’s ability to remain impartial.' Yet, Pitt's team has responded saying Jolie had been made fully aware that Ouderkirk had accepted 'additional new engagements' involving the actor's team, and that she had 'never objected' to Ouderkirk's 'continued involvement' in the proceedings until now.In Pitt's response, he also pointed out three times where Jolie and her lawyers are said to have asked to extend Ouderkirk's appointment to their ongoing divorce case.The documents add that Pitt is concerned about how the continued delays will affect their children, saying: 'Unfortunately, the individuals hurt most by Jolie's transparently tactical gambit are the parties' own children, who continue to be deprived of a final resolution to these custody issues.' Jolie's lawyer DeJean responded to Pitt's filing last week in a statement to PEOPLE saying: 'It is unfortunate that Mr. Pitt's team has sought to intervene ahead of Judge Ouderkirk's response.''One can only conclude that this is an attempt to obstruct or influence Judge Ouderkirk's answer. Any delay in these proceedings is due to their zealous attempt to create an unrecognized special exception for their client's benefit.' The report adds that a source close to Pitt's team claim that it was Jolie's team who actually knew the judge first, and that 'the only excuse for their filing is that her team knew they were likely to lose and they needed to stall by changing the referee in the fourth quarter.' 'This is the Judge who married them, someone who her team knew well and who her team actually introduced to the couple,' a Pitt source claims.
