It’s been 365 days since Gossip Cop busted a story about Jennifer Aniston busting Angelina Jolie’s chops over The Eternals. Since it’s been a year, we’re taking a look back on that story to see if we got it right. Aniston Disses Marvel, Actually Meant Jolie. In an interview with Variety, the Leprechaun star said she had no interest in being in the “big Marvel movies” which were “diminishing” the movie industry. The Globe took those comments and made said they were a pointed attack on Jolie. An insider said, “Jen's never cared about these action-packed fantasy movies before, but all of a sudden she's slamming them just when Angie begins filming her first Marvel movie.” It was some form of revenge because Aniston “hates Angie more than ever for stealing [Brad Pitt] and then splitting from him.” Gossip Cop busted this story at the time because it really didn’t make much sense. Aniston was asked directly if she wanted to do a Marvel movie and answered accordingly. We still checked in with a spokesperson for Aniston who dismissed the report as nonsense. What’s Happened Since? The Office Space star hasn’t commented on Marvel movies since that initial interview. The Eternals are expected to come out in November 2021. Jolie’s partnership with Marvel has led to a slew of bogus rumors, so many that we’ve actually collected some of the random rivalries invented by the tabloids. All Jolie has to do is take a role and tabloids will invent the drama.Tabloid Hasn’t Stopped Targeting Jolie and Aniston
There is no end to dumb Globe stories attacking these two women. It claimed Jolie was the neighbor from hell who allowed her kids to run rampant. Gossip Cop busted that story by showing just how much land Jolie had and how unlikely it was for noise to travel that far. It also claimed that Jolie had turned to witchcraft in an attempt to win her custody battle against Pitt. Just because Jolie played a witch in a movie does not mean she’s doing “voodoo rituals” in real life.Don’t worry, Aniston is not left out in the bogus stories department. The Globe recently said she was starving herself over Pitt. Back in January, this tabloid claimed Jolie was starving herself over Pitt. Everyone’s starving to death over Brad Pitt, apparently. There’s no truth to these stories, and just exemplify how little insight this tabloid has into these movie stars' lives.Aniston was simply responding to a question. It’s honestly more likely that Aniston wouldn’t know Jolie was working with Marvel, since there’s only been a few panels and no trailers to speak of. Globe forgot this story as soon as it published it, which further proves that it was completely false.

Angelina Jolie‘s upcoming movie, Come Away, is breaking a lot of boundaries as it’s a flick based on fairytales that historically have white-only leads. However, the new movie, which imagines Peter Pan and Alice (of Wonderland) as siblings, and are part of a multi-racial family. Angelina and David Oyelowo star as their parents.Brenda Chapman, known for directing Pixar’s Brave, is putting critics and review bombers on blast for the negative words they have left about the flick without even seeing it.“It just made me sad, like so much of our society these days, the last four years,” she told IndieWire during a recent interview. “It just makes me sad that we haven’t risen above all this.”Brenda added, “People are people and we all have our hopes and dreams and disappointments, and to have someone just purposely go out because they’re racial bigots to destroy something, it’s just hateful and it just makes me sad.”She also pointed out that when they were first casting the project, her eyes did skim by David‘s name because of the historically white context. But then, she had the opportunity to do something not a lot of others have done and cast color blindly.“I was disappointed, oh, it’s too bad, I’d love to work with him, and I moved on and then I sort of went back to his name like, wait a minute, why not?,” Brenda said. “And then, going through the story in my mind, it was like, I don’t need to change anything. It would open up the story so much more.” She added, “I didn’t choose David for political reasons, I chose him because I thought he was the best person to play Jack, because he’s got such a warmth and a presence on screen that it just felt like I looked at the story and I thought this would just add so much depth to it. It was an artistic choice.” Come Away just got an official premiere date and a whimsical and heartbreaking new trailer.

Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life Director Details How the Experience Mad Him Stop Directing

Thanks to action films like Speed and Twister, director Jan de Bont was a major force in filmmaking back in the '90s, though his directing efforts concluded in 2003 with Lara Croft: Tomb Raider – The Cradle of Life, which he recently explained was due to interference from studios over the endeavor. De Bont noted that, not only did his decisions with the film have to go through the studio and executives, but that figures from the video game world would also weigh in on what they thought would be best for a character, ultimately leading him to leave the studio system behind for decades."It was not such a great experience. But more from the reason how the studio tried to really interfere with it in a way. And the thing itself is that the makers of the game were also involved. And they never told me that they, also, have a say in the story," de Bont shared with Uproxx. "Suddenly there were all these changes that have taken, and who had to be what, and what cast. And then suddenly it became such a big scene. Everything was a big deal. And then the very first day of shooting, it was in Greece, on the Island. The very first day, we got a call, 'Oh, I want to congratulate you on your first day. And by the way, you have to cut $12 million out of your budget.' The very first day! And in those days, $12 million, that’s like four scenes." Few pop culture figures were as big in the '90s as Lara Croft, with her debut big-screen outing starring Angelina Jolie also being a major crossover event. Having previously delivered audiences original concepts and narratives, clearly de Bont wasn't interested in having to answer to a number of executives with his directing efforts. "Basically, you say, 'Wait a second, every movie’s going to be like this? Where the studio has a say in what will be done, what scenes have to be in, and even what kind of shirts somebody has to wear at one point?'" de Bont pointed out. "They didn’t like the buttons on one shirt! I still remember, I got a call, 'I didn’t like the buttons on the shirt.' I don’t even remember. What was the guy’s name? The male lead in that movie? Man, I forgot his name. But then, 'Wait a second. You’re calling me because you don’t like the buttons on the shirt?' That was so absurd. Really. And then also having to really constantly deal with budget issues." He continued, "There were films that I wanted to work on, and, unfortunately, they also did not get made. None of them got made. I said, 'Wait a second, is this too much work? This is too difficult.' Because I felt this wasn’t a traditional period, where studios were taking a much bigger part in the making of the movie. And it became… that’s not worth it. You know?" Stay tuned for details about Jan de Bont's potential upcoming projects.

Angelina Jolie's father Jon Voight posts 'disturbing' video endorsing pro-Trump conspiracy theories

Hollywood actor and the father of Angelina Jolie, Jon Voight, has shared a video on social media promoting a pro-Trump conspiracy theory about the US election result. The 81-year-old, who is an outspoken supporter of Donald Trump, shared the video late on Tuesday where he called the election a sham and a lie because Joe Biden had won.Voight says that he is "disgusted with this lie that Biden has been chosen as if we don't all know the truth" and seemingly adding a threat to the people that celebrated Biden's being named as president-elect on Saturday. "There will be a price to pay. The ones who are jumping for joy now are jumping toward the horror they will be in for. I know the promises being made from the left to the American people will never come to be.\" He then goes on to reference the American civil war and Satan and calls members of the left 'evil' and has a desire to 'tear down this nation.' " My friends from all colors, races and religions, this is now our greatest fight since the civil war or the battle or righteousness versus Satan because these leftists are evil, corrupt and want to tear down this nation. We must not allow this. We must fight this corruption that has taken over and fight for the good that seems lost." Voight then goes on to talk about the voter fraud that the Trump administration has been touting, without any evidence, and for Trump supporters to put their faith in God." Let us give our trust to God and fight now for Trump's victory because we all know that this ballot count is corruption like they are so let us not back down. Let us fight this fight as if it is our last fight on Earth." He ends by quoting the great boxer and civil rights activist Muhammad Ali.
"As Muhammad Ali said 'it's not over until the last punch you have.'" It's unclear what Voight means when he is encouraging others to 'fight' but he did add a caption to the video reading 'we all know the truth.' Voight has been a passionate supporter of Trump for many years, previously calling Trump the greatest president since Abraham Lincoln. He has also said that 'racism was solved long ago' in a defence of the president and that efforts to impeachment the president were 'evil.' His daughter, Angelina Jolie has had a tumultuous relationship with her father but they have begun to make amends with each other in recent years and have found a common ground in the arts. That being said, the two have vastly different political ideologies. Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter in 2017 she said:"We're finding a new relationship...We've had some difficulties, [but] through art we've been able to talk. It's the common language. We don't really talk politics well. We talk art very well." The Trump administration has so far refused to recognise the results of the election and that Biden is now the president-elect claiming that the Democrats committed voter fraud in the states that Biden successfully flipped. Despite this, Trump's team have thus far been unable to produce any evidence of fraud and have already had several legal cases dismissed.
