As the conflict in Syria entered its fifth year, UNHCR Special Envoy Angelina Jolie Pitt said:"It is deeply alarming that the international response so clearly falls short of what is needed to end the conflict in Syria.People are entitled to feel bewildered and angry that the UN Security Council seems unable to respond to the worst crisis of the 21st century.It is shameful that even the basic demand for full humanitarian access has not been met. Meanwhile, neighbouring countries and international humanitarian agencies are being stretched beyond their limits.And it is sickening that crimes are being committed against the Syrian people on a daily basis with impunity.The failure to end this crisis diminishes all of us.I urge governments around the world to put aside their differences and mount a new attempt to solve the conflict politically.And I appeal for urgent steps to demonstrate that the international community is serious about accountability in Syria: to show that we will not turn a blind eye to war crimes, and that we will not fail refugees, the displaced, and the survivors."

It’s difficult to find anyone that doesn’t think Jennifer Lawrence is charming, but that’s exactly what actress Chloe Sevigny thinks.In a new interview with V Magazine, Sevigny praised Angelina Jolie and Emma Stone but didn’t have anything nice to say about the Silver Linings Playbook star.“Jennifer Lawrence I find annoying. Too crass,” she told the magazine."I love when a movie star is a great movie star," she also said. “I think Angelina is a great movie star. I like Emma Stone. Whenever she's herself, she's really cute.”But Sevigny was also a critic of herself in the interview, saying what Lawrence’s successful career might have over hers is that she’s got a lot of personality.Sevigny has had a thriving career in her own right, with Big Love, American Psycho and most recently The Cosmpolitans, but she thinks she can “always have more” opportunities. She points out she might never reach the level of fame that Lawrence has because of the need for personality and marketing to sell movies.“I’m afraid that maybe people think there’s more personality than acting ability,” adding, “I understand star quality, how much value it carries. I don’t think I have charisma. Which is probably why I never reached another level.”

Meanwhile, the actress and husband Brad Pitt are reportedly at odds over whether they would send off their children to school or not.39-year-old actress was snapped looking at clothes and browsing to several pieces of jewelry at the Yves St. Laurent shop in Beverly Hills."The 'Salt' star appeared particularly keen on black blazers, leather jackets and designer purses," Daily Mail. "Angelina may have been in the mood for a coat as she could be seen clutching her bare arms in the most likely air conditioned shop." In a related report, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt allegedly couldn't agree if the kids will stay homeschooled or be sent off to a regular school."Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's six children have been mostly homeschooled their whole lives due to their parents' crazy, jet-setting lifestyles, but could the kids be enrolling in "regular" school for the remainder of this school year and the future?" said OK! Magazine.A source told the magazine that their kids have been pleading both Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt to allow them to go to a regular school like regular kids. The "Fury" actor is open to the idea but "Salt" actress isn't too keen about the suggestion."Angelina is a fan of non-traditional education, but her hubby Brad is mostly siding with their children on the matter," it said, adding that Brad Pitt thinks the kids are "missing out on the social experience of school."Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie got married in August of last year after reportedly falling in love on the set of "Mr. and Mrs. Smith." Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie let their six children help decide who will benefit from the huge donations made by their Jolie-Pitt Foundation, it has been revealed.The 13-year-old Maddox, 11-year-old Pax, 10-year-old Zahara, 8-year-old Shiloh and six-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne have already earmarked 22million pounds for worthy causes, the Daily Star reported.Shiloh recently suggested 1.2million pounds worth of donation to the Naankuse Lodge and Wildlife Sanctuary in Namibia, the African country in which Jolie gave birth to her.A source said that youngsters are banned from bragging about their donation s to their pals as Pitt and Jolie are trying to teach them it's better to give without seeking public credit.
