Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Pitt spent their holiday week traveling around Thailand as a family with their six children in tow – and it was quite the action-packed vacation. With activities ranging from jet-skiing to swimming in the ocean to mini-golfing, they took full advantage of their time off together."The older kids went jet-skiing, and were very active. The family rented a yacht and the kids spent the day jumping off it," a source tells PEOPLE. "They spent hours swimming in the warm ocean. They played mini-golf and went shopping a few times as well.""There were plenty of activities for them all to enjoy," adds the source.Even when Pax, 12, injured his right leg early into the vacation, he didn't let it break his holiday spirit. He walked around on crutches for the rest of the week but still "looked very happy," the source says.Although the couple spent the majority of their time enjoying the various activities with the children, Jolie Pitt made sure to take some time to herself."Angelina also spent some Zen time alone," says the source. "She visited the resort spa and also a Hindu temple." It was much deserved downtime for the actress, as she's spent the past few weeks hard at work filming her next directorial effort, First They Killed My Father: A Daughter of Cambodia. The family left Thailand on Jan. 1 to return to Cambodia, where they have been living while production on the film is underway."They all looked tanned, happy and very relaxed," the source says.

Though their holiday is thought to have been marred by son Pax's reported jet ski accident, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie left Thailand smiling on Friday.Having spent New Year in what was reported to be $18,000-a-night luxury, the father-of-six looked rejuvenated as he boarded the private plane, presumably headed for home.Like a gentleman, Brad let wife Angelina lead the way with eldest son Pax, 12, sandwiched in between them both in a protective manner. The pre-teen is thought to have injured his right leg while he was on a jet-ski this week though he seemed to walk up the steps without his crutches on Friday as they were held out in front of him.His father guided him up but still seemed to be have that chilled holiday vibe about him, looking relaxed in a sunhat and open white shirt.Brad's air was matched by 40-year-old Angelina and she floated up the steps in a flowing cream-coloured cover-up; effortlessly chic as always. The moviestars and their six children Maddox, 14, Pax, 12, Zahara, 10, Shiloh, nine, and seven-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne were staying in a luxury villa during their New Year's getaway. It's known that the couple chose a palatial 10-bedroom pad at the Amanpuri beach resort in Phuket, with plenty of facilities to keep them busy.According to the New York Post's Page Six: 'The whole family is staying in a two-floor, mammoth spread' that comes with a staff of eight servants, private gym and a pool surrounded by minipagodas.' And Us Weekly reports that the family have seen 'swimming in the sea off a luxury yacht, as well as playing minigolf, shopping at a mall and visiting a local Hindu temple where their mom prayed'.There was some drama on the idyllic family getaway when Pax injured his leg in a reported jet-skiing accident, but did not break the limb. The Jolie-Pitts have been spending a great deal of time in Asia recently, where Angelina is shooting 'First They Killed My Father: A Daughter of Cambodia', about the brutal Khmer Rouge regime. The actress also wrote the Netflix film, which is an adaptation of Loung Ung's memoir about her escape from the notorious 'killing fields.'And Cambodian-born Maddox is also helping his mother on set as a production assistant.Just before Christmas, Angelina and Brad enjoyed a romantic break in Vietnam, which is also where son Pax was born. The couple laughed and smiled as they visited scenic Halong Bay on December 23. The couple, who has been together since 2005 took a private boat ride to the bay, where they got into the small canoe and explored caves in the area. The pair were most recently seen in box office bomb By The Sea, which Angelina also wrote and directed. The film, which reunited the couple for the first time since Mr & Mrs Smith, cost $10 million but made only around $500,000 at the US box office.Brad also stars in financial crisis film The Big Short, which is released in the US on December 11.
