The Coldplay singer jokes about how he wrote 'Miracles' for the movie 'Unbroken'.Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has discussed writing a song for Angelina Jolie's new movie 'Unbroken', joking that the actress kidnapped him in order to ensure his involvement in the project.'Unbroken' was directed and produced by Jolie, telling the story of World War II hero Louis Zamperini. Coldplay contributed the track 'Miracles' for the film, making them one of the contenders for Best Original Song at the 2015 Oscars. Now, Martin has spoken to Vulture about how it allegedly all came about, stating: ""I got a message [from Jolie] that said, 'Meet in this undisclosed location. You'll be blindfolded and picked up by seven ex-Navy SEALs'."Martin added: "So they kidnapped me, hit me over the head, and sprayed me with Mace. When I woke up, I was in an office, and Brad Pitt was doing push-ups as Angelina Jolie was just sitting there with her crown on. There was also a guy holding a knife to my throat, and she said, 'Write me a song, or else'. And Brad Pitt said, 'Yeah. What she said'."Meanwhile, Chris Martin also recently revealed that he once asked David Bowie to record vocals for a Coldplay song but was rejected by the singer.Martin made the revelation at the BBC Music Awards, a ceremony where Bowie was nominated for British Artist Of The Year and Coldplay performed live. He said: "One time i sent him a song to ask him to sing on it. He called me and said, 'It's not one of your best.' He's got very high standards and I appreciate that. It inspires the rest of us to keep our standards high."Coldplay released their latest album 'Ghost Stories' in May.

Angelina Jolie has taken another hit in the Sony hacking nightmare. In newly leaked emails between producer Scott Rudin and Sony Pictures Co-chairman Amy Pascal, the 39-year-old actress was allegedly pegged as "seriously out of her mind." The exchange in question, obtained by Defamer, began with Jolie CC'd as the trio went back and forth about who should direct the "Cleopatra" film that she was very eager to make.Names were being digitally tossed around after "Gone Girl's" David Fincher couldn't do it because of Rudin's planned Steve Jobs biopic. When Martin Scorsese was mentioned by Pascal, Jolie apparently wrote, "Let me know if there is anything I should be doing. Like getting on a plane and begging Marty xxx." Jolie's expectations appeared to be squashed again when the emails revealed Scorsese was booked until 2016.According to Defamer, as other Hollywood names were being kicked around including Tomas Alfredson ("Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy") and Ridley Scott ("Exodus: Gods and Kings"), Jolie said she was "studying a few more films to be sure." Rudin reportedly snipped back in private chain to Pascal saying, "Kill me please. Immediately." Pascal and Rudin then made the suggestion to Brad Pitt's wife about basing the picture off of Shakespeare's "Antony and Cleopatra," rather than the original script written by Eric Roth."I've been saying let's do this for a year," Rudin reportedly wrote. "So obviously the best idea. We ought to make this with her and (Michael) Fassbender or (Tom) Hardy or (Benedict) Cumberbatch and go home." "Now we need to convince here (sic)," Pascal responded. "She will be scared to just totally throw out Eric's script."
While Jolie's alleged retort to their attempt was gracious, she didn't seem into the idea."Above all I'm thrilled to hear the passion you both continue to have for this," she said."I would say however that I don't think it's as off as you both do. I think making it a love story could undermined the female leadership and epic that we have built."Rudin then slammed the starlet as "seriously out of her mind" and completely dismissed Pascal's proposing an "in person long conversation" with the three of them."Nooooooo noooooo noooooo please! Not a meeting!" Rudin pleaded.Rudin trashed Jolie as a "minimally talented spoiled brat" in an earlier string of leaked emails by the massive cyber-attack on Sony and has since apologized for his “thoughtless and insensitive” comments.Pascal also issued out a statement responding to the controversy."The content of my emails were insensitive and inappropriate but are not an accurate reflection of who I am,” she said last week in a statement."Although this was a private communication that was stolen, I accept full responsibility for what I wrote and apologize to everyone who was offended.”The corporation decided to cancel the national release of the Seth Rogen and James Franco's "The Interview" Wednesday after the hackers warned the "bitter fate (of) those who seek fun in terror.""In light of the decision by the majority of our exhibitors not to show the film "The Interview," we have decided not to move forward with the planned Dec. 25 theatrical release. We respect and understand our partners' decision and, of course, completely share their paramount interest in the safety of employees and theater-goers," Sony said in a statement.

Angelina Jolie looks completely focused on the cover of The Hollywood Reporter‘s Rule Breakers 2014 issue, out on newsstands now! Here’s what the 39-year-old actress had to share with the mag:
On following her instincts: “There have been times in my career when I’ve gotten bored and sloppy. But I’ve done my best to listen to my gut. Because I feel you can do whatever you want in this life. So long as you don’t hurt anybody, you can do anything.”
On working with husband Brad Pitt in By the Sea: “Yes, we spent our honeymoon playing two people in a terrible marriage. I’m sure a therapist would have a field day analyzing the films I choose to do. But it’s been 10 years since Brad and I have worked together. It felt like it was time.”
On retiring from acting soon: “I don’t want to be in hair and makeup, I don’t want to be in wardrobe, I don’t want to have to stand on a mark or emote. It makes me feel like a caged tiger.”

Her kids have shown that they are more than up to the task of stepping in for her on the red carpet, but like most parents, Angelina Jolie says she's not sure if they're prepared for the digital world. So how does the mother of six make sure her kids are safe on the Internet? "We have someone who monitors that," Jolie, 39, told PEOPLE in this week's cover story. The Unbroken director calls herself "old-school" when it comes to technology, saying she doesn't use Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, and prefers writing things down in a notebook.Still, Jolie understands the dangers that the Internet presents to children. As a result, she and husband Brad Pitt hired a cyber security team to monitor the Internet and social media content that their children, who range from ages 6 to 13, encounter."It's a scary new world," the star says. While Jolie's team controls the Twitter handle @AngelinaJolie, the account remains locked, meaning it doesn't follow anyone or accept followers."It's so beyond what we understand," Jolie says of her and Pitt, who isn't active on social media either. "We wouldn't even know what to look for."Ultimately, Jolie feels relieved that the technologies her kids use didn't exist when she was younger."I got in enough trouble," Jolie says. "It just would have been very documented."
