Angelina Jolie Pitt reveals that she has gone into menopause after removing her ovaries and fallopian tubes following a cancer scare. The 39-year-old actress/director previously had a preventive double mastectomy and the next preventive surgery on the list was the removal of her ovaries and fallopian tubes. She will no longer be able to have any biological children.Angelina decided to have the surgery now after receiving a call from her doctor that her blood-test results showed something that could have been the sign of early cancer. Luckily, further tests came back with the all clear, but Angie decided to have the the surgery. “There was a small benign tumor on one ovary, but no signs of cancer in any of the tissues,” she wrote in a NY Times op-ed piece.“I chose to keep my uterus because cancer in that location is not part of my family history,” Angelina added. “It is not possible to remove all risk, and the fact is I remain prone to cancer. I will look for natural ways to strengthen my immune system. I feel feminine, and grounded in the choices I am making for myself and my family. I know my children will never have to say, ‘Mom died of ovarian cancer.’” “Regardless of the hormone replacements I’m taking, I am now in menopause. I will not be able to have any more children, and I expect some physical changes. But I feel at ease with whatever will come, not because I am strong but because this is a part of life. It is nothing to be feared.I feel deeply for women for whom this moment comes very early in life, before they have had their children. Their situation is far harder than mine. I inquired and found out that there are options for women to remove their fallopian tubes but keep their ovaries, and so retain the ability to bear children and not go into menopause. I hope they can be aware of that.It is not easy to make these decisions. But it is possible to take control and tackle head-on any health issue. You can seek advice, learn about the options and make choices that are right for you. Knowledge is power.”

A DVD version of Unbroken will be aimed specifically for Christians, and it will include over 90 minutes of extra material. This special "Legacy Of Faith" edition that will put greater focus on Louis Zamperini’s life once he returned to America. In the years after surviving his plane crashing into the ocean, then being adrift at sea for 47 days, and ultimately being held in a prisoner-of-war camp, Zamperini went through many personal struggles. Eventually he had a religious epiphany, which is what helped him cope with his repeated trauma.Rather than focusing on Louis Zamperini’s religious renaissance, Angelina Jolie actually left this plotline out of the theatrical version of Unbroken. It’s been suggested that the movie’s relatively successful haul at the box office - which saw the biopic gross $161 million worldwide from a $65 million budget - could have been increased if Angelina Jolie had decided to include this facet to the finished film.Universal Pictures looks as though they’re trying to correct this matter with the release of Unbroken's "Legacy Of Faith" DVD, which they hope will convince and entice faith-based viewers to purchase the film. In fact, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio has specifically targeted this demographic as the special version has only been made available at "Christian outlets."Luke Zamperini, the son of the famed Olympic competitor and decorated war veteran, has admitted to The Hollywood Reporter that even though he "loved" Unbroken and that "Angie got all the scenes right," his one tiny criticism was its decision to not address how Zamperini was affected after seeing evangelist Billy Graham deliver a sermon. He explained: "The biggest criticism we got was from people in the faith-based community who read the book and said, ‘Well, it left out the whole Billy Graham scene.’" Because of the trauma he suffered as a POW, Zamperini suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder after he returned to America. In order to try and combat his fears he turned to drinking and fighting. As you can imagine, this put a great strain on his marriage and his wife was set to divorce him. However after he attended a sermon by Billy Graham in a tent, Zamperini recognized the error of his ways and set about changing his life.Unbroken’s "Legacy Of Faith Edition" includes footage of Billy Graham and Louis Zameperini together during the 1950s as their friendship grew, and there is also a vivid description of what occurred the day that they originally met. Luke Zamperini hopes that the release of the special DVD will allow both Christians and "people who don’t shop at Christian stores" to learn more about how religion impacted his father’s life.

She has become a global style icon and a Hollywood A-lister, starring in a string of action movies adored by millions of fans. But even Angelina Jolie had to start her career somewhere – and that meant modelling clothes for Debenhams and Miss Selfridge for a little-known British magazine. The long lost pictures, taken when Jolie was just 18, were published under the headline 'Honeychild' in Look in 1993. And Angelina was such an unknown that even her name was misspelled – with a 'j' replacing the 'g' in her first name in a caption.Living in Los Angeles in her late teens, Angelina signed to the Nina Blanchard agency after her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, suggested she do some modelling. In the pictures she is seen in two separate shoots: squatting on the floor of a desert, and kneeling on a beach and reaching for the sky.It is not known if she agreed with the magazine's claim that 'beige is not boring – it encourages people to open up to you.' Angelina also made her professional acting debut in 1993, playing her first leading role in the science-fiction film Cyborg 2.Three years later, she appeared in the road movie Mojave Moon, prompting the Hollywood Reporter to write: 'Jolie is an actress whom the camera truly adores.' Then came the role of Lara Croft in Tomb Raider in 2001, and it was clear that a major new star had been born.Angelina is now married to Hollywood heart-throb Brad Pitt and the couple have six children.

Angelina Jolie’s art teacher shares her insights into the world’s most intriguing family – the Jolie Pitts. When Indigenous artist Bibi Barba was summoned to teach an art class for a mysterious “very high- profile” client’s children, she never imagined the mansion door would be opened to reveal world-famous actress Angelina Jolie and her children Maddox, 13, Pax, 11, Zahara, 10, Shiloh, 8, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 6.In town for the world premiere of Angelina’s movie Unbroken late last year, the “rainbow” family had taken up top-secret residence in James Packer’s $40 million Vaucluse mansion in Sydney’s upmarket eastern suburbs.Bibi recalls how an ethereal Ange, 39, dressed in black jeans and a black T-shirt, glided into the spectacular marble foyer and stood before her, her hands pressed together in a prayer-like position at her heart.“Yours is the most ancient culture in the world,” Ange said solemnly to Bibi, before bowing to her in what appeared to be a Buddhist gesture of respect.“I want to learn about your culture,” Angelina continued, her piercing hazel eyes looking intently into Bibi’s.“My home is your home. Please, just call me Ange,” she added with a warm smile.
Shiloh, dressed in cute white knickerbockers and a navy T-shirt, beamed up at Bibi excitedly. “I’m Shi,” she said, dispelling widespread rumours the couple’s cherub-faced biological daughter would only answer to her self-imposed nickname of John.“I’m Vi-vi!” called out golden-locked Vivienne, standing beside her in a sweet floral print dress. Twin Knox stood close by in simple shorts and T-shirt, gazing up at Bibi.Despite reports in the US that tomboy Shiloh could be coping with gender identity disorder, Bibi confirms the little girl who caused uproar when she ditched a dress in favour of a sleek charcoal suit for the LA Unbroken premiere seemed chatty and well adjusted.“She was outgoing, she was very friendly,” Bibi reveals.Bibi spent the day teaching the children about Aboriginal art, encouraging them to use symbols to explain their stories. At the end of the day, proud mother let out a warm laugh as she looked over her brood’s new-found appreciation of Aboriginal culture.“You can see she’s taught them we’re all human, and we might come from different parts of the world but we’ve got to show each other love and respect,” said Bibi triumphantly.Go behind-the-scenes with the Jolie-Pitt’s and read all about Bibi’s day with them, only in Woman’s Day on sale 23rd March.

The feud between Angelina Jolie and George Clooney’s new wife, Amal Alamuddin, rages on. Angelina and Amal actually have a lot in common: their husbands Brad Pitt and George Clooney have been good friends for several years and both women have strong political views and specialize in humanitarian work. But it became clear in November 2014 when Angelina skipped Amal and George’s Italian wedding that the two women would not be scheduling any lunch dates anytime soon.Over the years Angelina Jolie has built a name for herself in Hollywood as a humanitarian – and she doesn’t take kindly to other celebrities trying to steal her charitable spotlight. The March 30th edition of OK! Magazine reveals, “Angie has snubbed the British barrister once again. Since Amal accepted a visiting lecturer position at Columbia University she hoped that Angelina would meet up with her in New York, but sources say she has no such plans. Amal got Angelina’s information and reached out to her twice, but she never received a response. Amal was actually quite shocked by Angie’s rudeness and inconsideration.”Amal may be shocked that Angelina Jolie snubbed her, but we aren’t. If there is one thing we have learned about Brad Pitt’s wife over the years, it is that she is incapable of being friends with another woman and has some serious insecurity issues of her own. Amal Alamuddin arrived on the Hollywood scene in 2014, and is giving Angelina Jolie a run for her money and was even named “The Most Interesting Person of 2014” by Barbara Walters. And when you take into consideration Amal’s college degrees and law career, she actually has one up on the actress. According to OK! Magazine’s sources, Angelina isn’t threatened by Amal, she just “finds her annoying.” We’re not buying it though.Do you think that Angelina Jolie is threatened by Amal Alamuddin? Why else wouldn’t she want to get to know someone that she has so much in common with?
