Amber Heard has admitted Angelina Jolie was an inspiration to her when it came to being a bisexual actress in Hollywood, she has revealed in a new interview. The 27-year-old actress, who is currently dating Rum Diaries co-star Johnny Depp has always been open about being bisexual and in a new interview she claimed Jolie, who has previously spoken candidly about her relationship with women, provided her with inspiration to be honest about her own sexuality. She told Company magazine: "[Angelina Jolie] is an incredible example – just an incredible force in terms of challenging the status quo. I think she talked about [being bisexual] honestly, which I love her for. Honesty is best – staying quiet can be so detrimental.”Going on to discuss the difficulty of being an actress in Hollywood, Amber admitted that while she's had her fair share of good roles, she at times feels the emphasis is on looks.“You name me movies where the woman’s part isn’t narrower than the man’s and they will be the exceptions – not the norm," she claimed,"I think in Europe things are better, but, in the US, we still have characters who are defined by physical attractiveness.”Revealing what she looks for in a role, Amber went on: “I try to search for roles where the character is not dependent on how she looks, but it is hard because I didn’t know anyone in this industry so I started as an extra and fought. I’ve had to take on roles that were superficial, girlfriend roles, but I’ve tried to put some power or strength into them."She added: "And I don’t think talent and beauty are mutually exclusive. It’s a shame that someone like Charlize Theron has to put on a bunch of weight and fake teeth to be seen as a talented actress.”The 27 year-old, who is currently shooting new movie London Fields in the UK, has racked up a pretty impressive list of co-stars over her short career, but revealing who she considered the most impressive. She claimed: “I’ve always worked with cool people – both men and women. Harrison Ford in Paranoia was a legend. Liam Hemsworth is such a talent – he will work forever."Demi Moore was one of my favourites – so genuinely benevolent. I learnt so much from her.”

OK! magazine’s truly embarrassing recent run of cover stories continues this week with a ghastly, sensationalized scare piece about Angelina Jolie’s allegedly “tragic health news.”According to the tabloid, which sold its readers a 100 percent false story about Jolie expecting twins three months ago, doctors fear the actress is now “risking her life.”How so?OK! fails to say, really.Jolie apparently is showing “surprising gauntness just six months after her preventative cancer surgery,” says the magazine.“With everything she’s put her body through — the surgery and the stress of [directing] this movie [Unbroken] — she’s really defying her doctor’s orders and putting her life in danger by not eating or sleeping,” a so-called “insider” tells OK! The mag’s source adds that Brad Pitt has told her “she’s way too thin right now. It’s really driving him crazy. He’s been telling her for years to stop starving herself, but she just doesn’t listen. It’s nothing short of tragic that she doesn’t take care of her health.” In other words, there’s NOTHING NEW HERE.Before Jolie went public with her surgery, OK! was blathering about how her weight had plummeted as she allegedly starved herself.Tabloids have been making bogus claims about Jolie’s supposed extreme weight loss for years — and yet she remains active, healthy, and pretty much the same weight as always. This cover story is just empty alarmism from an outlet that owns a terrible recent track record with Jolie stories.A source close to Jolie tells Gossip Cop it’s “totally off base.”

Angelina Jolie’s Breast Implants Ruining Her Life: Pain, Leaking and Infection are Constant Concerns

About six months ago Angelina Jolie underwent that double mastectomy after finding out that her chances of getting breast cancer were ridiculously high. At the time her doctors suggested that she wait about six months before undergoing any kind of reconstructive surgery but Angie instead had her breast implants done immediately. I guess that she believed that if she got everything over with then it would make it easier to go back to work in less time.Instead, according to the Nov. 11th print edition of Star magazine Angie is really regretting her decision. Apparently she is having a lot of chest, shoulder and back pain leading her to fear that she’s constantly teetering on the edge of infection. Angie’s afraid that she didn’t really think things through enough and made the wrong decision. She was so focused on just getting everything over with that at the time it never occurred to her that she could end up having complications.Angie is also worried that the implants are slowly leaking and are ultimately going to require more surgery which is ironic since a second surgery was what she was trying to avoid in the first place! Do you think that Angie was foolish not to take her doctor’s advice and wait until her chest healed before having the reconstructive surgery done? If she really believes that she made a mistake then do you think that she’ll also decide to share this part of her experience with the public as a cautionary tail? If everything else was important enough to share then wouldn’t this be as well?

A barrel of organic wine produced by Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s estate in the south of France has been sold for more than €10,000 (£8,500) at auction, with the money going to support an agricultural project in Africa.Winegrowers in the village of Correns, where Pitt and Jolie have their chateau, 50 miles inland from Saint-Tropez, organised the sale on Wednesday evening as part of an annual auction to raise funds for the Democratic Republic of Congo, and donated to an agricultural cooperative which aims to teach young people about sustainable farming.“We’ve organised this sale in solidarity with the people of the Kivu region,” said Michael Latz, mayor of Correns.“It’s in an area on bordering Rwanda which has been left impoverished by war. Young people and agriculture have been the principal victims of conflict – and yet they are the key to future stability in the region.” The Pitt-Jolie barrel was by far the top seller, and was bought by local wine merchant Vins Breban. A 60-gallon cask, signed by the couple; it holds approximately 300 bottles – each bottle therefore worth around £28. This year’s sale made almost €25,000 for the charity, which operates in an area that Jolie visited in March this year alongside William Hague, the Foreign Secretary.

Angelina Jolie's 'Unbroken': First photos from set

Earlier this month Angelina Jolie began production on her second directorial feature, Unbroken, due in theaters Christmas 2014. The film is adapted from Laura Hillenbrand’s bestseller of the same name and tells the true and incredible story of Louis Zamperini, an Olympic runner who, while enlisted during World War II, survived a plane crash into the ocean. And that’s just the beginning of the trials Zamperini faced: he spent 47 days adrift on a raft in the Pacific only to then be imprisoned in a brutal Japanese POW camp for over two years.“On set, we started to joke and say, ‘Tomorrow will be easier,’ knowing full well that on this challenging shoot, there are no easy days,” Jolie says via email. “Anytime it gets tough, we think of the real men who lived through this, and no one complains. In fact, we all just feel honored to be here.” In the photo above, Jolie is on set in Australia’s Moreton Bay.
Because production began with Zamperini (played by Jack O’Connell) and fellow airmen and raftmates Russell Allen Phillips and Francis McNamara (Domnhall Gleeson and Finn Wittrock) marooned at sea, the actors arrived on location in Moreton Bay starvation-skinny after an extreme diet protocol. “We’ve begun with the character’s lowest points, though, so I’m looking forward to when [Zamperini’s] in top form,” says O’Connell. “Perhaps the makeup will be less extensive so I might get a lie-in, compared to the current 3:30 a.m. calls.”Kidding aside, the actor feels honored to be playing Zamperini, whom he’s met with twice. “Both times I came away feeling awe-struck,” he says. He has similar feelings for his director, whom he says he likes to think of as the World’s Best Boss. He’s not the only one impressed by Jolie. “She’s extremely bright and subtle-minded and absolutely devoted to getting it right,” says Hillenbrand, who speaks with Jolie regularly. “She wants every detail to be true. It’s easy to fudge things. It’s hard to be devoted to doing things right. She’s taking the hard path.”As for Zamperini himself, now 96, Hillenbrand reports that he’s excited about the film — and its director: “He always says, ‘I volunteer to be in the movie as long as I can play Angelina’s boyfriend.”Below: Jolie and first assistant director Joe Reidy (far left) watch over Domnhall Gleeson, who plays fellow survivor Russell Phillips.
